Vyaduka

he Vyaduka family are descendants of first settlers in Marn. They are a politically significant family.

The Vyaduka family’s opinions are a constant source of contradictions. A highly fractal family internally, bogged down by convoluted unspoken rules and obligations, they nevertheless strive to wear a unified public space. Their attempts to do so are often undermined by the actions of individual members, leaving the Vyaduka family as a bit of a wildcard, politically speaking. If they can be said to rally around a particular set of views, most of them come from Judge Khayyam Vyaduka, who uneasily directs the family through force of personality. This leads to a slight tendency towards advocating trade, championing the poor, and expanding the strength of the guards. However, it is generally more reliable to expect the family to follow whichever of their members speaks the loudest and earliest on any given subject; out of stubborn refusal to admit their inner tension and a well-built aversion to appearing weak, they dislike publicly opposing each other.

The Vyaduka is a moderately sized family fractured by opinions and actions. When it comes to laws, the Vyadukas can be found bending them to the absolute limit, often in an attempt to gain an edge over one another. So far, they have remained fortunate enough to avoid gaining a reputation for it. They have not yet succumbed to complete dishonor and despite frequent rules-lawyering, generally seem scrupulous and well-intentioned.

Due to their widely diverging stances on various topics, they have few conventional allies or enemies.
