Marquelis

he Marquelis family are synevives in Marn. They are a politically significant family.

The Marquelis family is one of the oldest synevive families in Marn. They have been involved with the university for generations, and are traditionally regarded as allies to the Ministry of Education. Typically there is at least one Marquelis working as a professor at the University, and they are highly regarded and well known within the education system. They're also very pro-government and like to have some of their young men serve in the City Guard.

The Marquelis family is moderately sized, and for the most part harmonious. They tend to be a scholarly bunch, and though they have their fingers in some Marn politics, they are not so involved as to discourage any leanings any of their children have -- so long as they are not breaking laws. Marquelis members can be found throughout the upper class sphere, though they can be polarized depending on how individuals feel about Marn's education system.

Their primary ally is the Mornir family. They primarily dislike the Morrington family, due to the financial blackmail the Ministry of Education has often received from that quarter.
