Guang wan
uang Wan is a town in Tian Xia Lying just east of the trade route.
Not all elves were content to remain in the west at the end of the Changers' War, some moving across the lands to build new cities. Not many of these cities and towns remain, as many of these elves were nomadic, and did not stay in one area for long before moving on. Still, some elves did lose the wanderlust of their nomadic brethren, and chose to remain in small villages and towns spread throughout the continent. The largest of these is Guang Wan.
Nestled on the western shores of a Sparkle Lake is the town of Guang Wan. Perhaps several days walk south and east from Dalouxiu, Guang Wan is slightly east of the adjoining road between the Northern and Southern Trade routes that tie together Tian Xia in the east and Eyropa in the west.
Roughly translated to mean "Sunshine in the Evening", Guang Wan lives up to its name, as the setting sun shimmers off the lake and reflects over the town. The town itself is nestled in a forest, as elves often tend to be creatures of the woodlands. Guang Wan consists nearly entirely of elves, with few humans or even dwarves living in the town year round.
The last town to be founded by the nomadic elves, Guang Wan came about as the first elves to have left the west began to reach what was considered old age among elves. They no longer wished to travel, and their children, some born before the move and others during, began to settle around the beautiful Sparkle Lake, named by humans who lived in the area. Still some elves pressed eastward, though fewer than had ever left a temporary settlement than before.
It had taken nearly one thousand years for the elves to begin their migration from Darleone Island, and nearly three hundred years for the nomadic elves to move this far eastward after the Changers' War. They had stopped often, as children were birthed, as they came across beautiful places of nature, just because they wanted to rest. At each place that they stopped for more than a couple months, a small village had sprung up, and such it was with Guang Wan.
Though Darleone Island is considered the homeland of the elves, Guang Wan is considered the elven haven in the East.
