The latest noobie to wander in.

Hi all,

I'm obviously new here (now there's a surprise). Though I'm not new to play by post RPs. You can blame Kamar's player for introducing me to this forum, he and I have known each other and played together for the past few years. As a matter of fact, the character name I used to register here is Kamar's twin sister. I won't be posting a character application for a while because I like to get familiar with the boards and the members first and I just started a new job, so I have no idea how much time I actually have to spend writing.

The native English speakers here will probably notice that my spelling and grammar aren't up to the usual standard, I'll apologize for that in advance. English is in fact my second language and no matter how hard I try it'll never be as strong as my first, which is Dutch btw. :shock: I just noticed the "SpellCheck" button. I hope I don't break it through over use. :D

A little background on myself.
I'm Dutch, which should be obvious from the previous part of this post, and I actually live in The Netherlands now. My birthday is coming up in less then a month, at which time I'll be 32 (I started to feel old when I wrote that) Looking at that age I just realized I've been RPing on and off for the past 14 years.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.

Enthy.

Your spelling and grammar look fine to me. :) I'm by far not the best writer here but I use the place as a way to exercise my writing skills. It's good experience in any case.

The netherlands are a nice place. I'd love to go over to holland again in a few years. I don't think you're alone overseas though, I think we have more than one person from england. Welcome to the forums.

Glad to see more quality writers... with so many people writing in such a modest sized city we're bound to run into each other soon. Welcome to Thar Shaddin :]

I second Fruggles. Your writing is excellent, and I definately wouldn't worry about any grammatical errors. There's not a person here who can't help making them every now and then, anyway. I'm a native English speaker and God knows I still can't spell "guarantee" without a spell checker's guidance.

I've never been anywhere near where you are. What's it like? I'm in the Southern US, and let's clear up the stereotypes now: they're all entirely true. You just need to know how to avoid those particular people.

I definately hope you find the time to play here, but if not, I'm always happy with another chat buddy! I'm not so sure my character could handle knowing the Killy McKiller (Kamar) has a freakin' twin sister, to boot :).

No, I am not a hick, I just live near them.

And in the South, everything is fried.

Thanks for the welcome but uhh... how do you know I'm a "quality" writer I can just as easily be the worst writer ever :P

Thank you too Lanya. :D
What's it like here? Very wet, it's been raining for days. Other then that it's a great place to live (if you ignore the government as much as possible).
While we're on the subject of stereotypes I'd like to clear something up as well.
1) Not all Dutchies are potheads;
2) We don't all live on cheese;
3) Wooden shoes are for the tourists. :twisted:

Ok, I'm done :)

I hope to find the time to play as well, and if/when I do I'll be applying for "approved character" status with Enthara Deythal (aka. Samantha). But rest assured, she's very different from her little brother though no less deadly.

*cough* One of us needs to change the age of our characters, since they're twins...

And speaking of that, we've played where Kamar and Enthara know about each other on other boards, but how about we introduce them to each other here? Especially since I had Kamar leaving home very early in life in his background.

We'll discuss it on MSN, if we ever connect there.
You’re gonna find out you’re already dead, and I was the world coming down on your head.

why doesn't quote work? Why doesn't quote work? waaah waaah waaaah
I'll try to fix it but I make no promises. For now, remove the =xxauthorxx part of the quote code, and just leave it straight as quote.
Stop making fun of me. I didn't say waah waaaah waaaah. I just asked nicely. waaaah waaah waaah
*shrugs*
