Eddy

Post by Anonymous » Tue Jun 14, 2005 5:29 pm

Name: Eddy

Gender: male

Age: Not really applicable, though he is fully mature and infinitely in the prime of life.

Race: Thought Demon. (A type of demon who usually lives a sorry existence in a hellish dimension. These demons cannot reach the real world without first getting in contact with a human and persuading that human, either through conscious or sub-conscious thought, to grant them access to the real world.)

Appearance: CLICK LINKS FOR PICTURES: Eddy / DressedToKill / Massacre
Eddy is a tall, lithe demon with a slim, athletic frame, and is a sleek ebony hue from head to toe. His head is handsomely crested with broad horns which, rather than being conventional bony accessories, mold smoothly with the rest of his face. A face that is dominated by his dangerous grin and large piercing eyes that glow a fiery orange, like hot coals set within a shadow. Additionally, he also has a tapering whip-like tail. But Eddy’s probably most noticeable feature is his claws - obscenely long and sharp, intimidating yet elegant weapons on each finger of both hands. Eddy usually dresses in only the barest of clothing - since his claws shred material so easily – but his ragged outfits always remain to look strangely fashionable, and compliment his wild nature perfectly.

Abilities: As much a fighter as he is a dancer, Eddy possesses a graceful, effective agility - light on his feet and always moving in leaps and bounds, too quick and clever to be caught out. He is strong though, very strong, in the way that most demons are. His main weapon is of course his claws - sharp enough to puncture metal, yet completely unbreakable, they alone make Eddy extremely dangerous.
A more unusual power, undeniably magical in nature, is Eddy’s ability to create music (the sound, the rhythms, the drums – everything) simply by thinking about it. The system works rather like a Musical – when Eddy starts singing, the music starts playing, radiating from no apparent source. He’s like a living jukebox.

Personality: Dangerously charming and charmingly dangerous, Eddy is a smooth operator with a deadly edge. He is confident and casual in everything he does, wildly cheerful, fearless and seemingly ready for anything. He is cunning and witty, though with a frenzied, maniacal side that people should be wary of – there’s always a wild glint in his eyes, and his unrestrained flamboyance is ever-present in his sure-footed manner.
Though Eddy is not wholly evil, he is far from being ‘good’, and what many seem to be friendliness is more often than not just smoothly executed mischief, darkly playful with violent intentions. His devilish appearance in itself is enough to suggest his motivations, but his manner can be distracting. For Eddy is a sensual and seductive creature who walks with an over-confident swagger, and has a rich cod-posh British accent to go with his voluptuous manner. He is a carefree killer, murdering victims carelessly for food, pleasure, or simply because they displease him. The killing does not overrule the other more playful sides to Eddy’s personality, but the will is there nonetheless. He does, however, have an overwhelming obsession for pain, torture, violence, and most importantly blood. The stuff is like an aphrodisiac to him and he will wound himself and others just to be around it.
Another important side to Eddy is that, at heart, he is an entertainer. He is all about the power of expressive voice and rhythmic movement - he loves a good song and dance number. He has a rich singing voice and his dancing skills are both flawless and captivating. Consequently, all his movements and mannerisms tend to be graceful and rhythmic, as if he is constantly dancing to some silent rhythm. Acts that would usually be brutal and violent can look sensual and hypnotizing in this demon’s control, just another act in an eternally intricate display.

History: Like all Thought Demons, Eddy’s previous existence was a tortured soul trapped within a hellish limbo, a spiritual essence with so much potential yet denied the right to have form, power or freedom. The demon spirit that would become Eddy knew his name, knew his personality, and knew what he should look like, but could not have access to any of it without to help of a mortal mind.
It takes a long, long time for a Thought Demon to successfully lock onto a human mind. It is exceedingly difficult to form a contact with the mortal realm, let alone pick out the one right mind from the billions of minds in existence, which is why not many Thought Demons ever make it into the real world. But Eddy was so much more determined than most. He knew what he wanted and he had now found the means to get it, for he had finally made contact with the perfect mind, the mind of a lonely young girl who didn’t fit in with the crowd. Eddy’s spirit latched onto the girl’s sub-conscious and in so doing he placed an image of himself in her mind, so subtly and gradually that the girl simply thought it was her own imagination.
The girl quickly grew fond of her apparent creation, treating him as a sort of imaginary friend. As her affections and her belief in the demon grew stronger, Eddy was coming ever closer to his goal, since a Thought Demon’s state of reality relies on the Thinker’s belief in their existence. And the girl was steadily becoming increasingly convinced that the creature in her mind was a real entity.
Then eventually the big day came, and Eddy was finally drawn out of limbo and into reality, seeping out of the girl’s mind and becoming a real living being before her astonished eyes. His living state now irreversible, Eddy had no other use for the girl except to eat her and sate his thirst for gore. But Eddy found that he could not kill his savior. So instead he thanked her and then left her, strolling away to greet the unsuspecting world, now free to create as much mayhem as he pleased…
