Letters to the Editor

Post by Jerial » Sun Oct 21, 2012 3:24 am

"I'm just asking that you could potentially hold back on the pain associated with it." Jerial stared earnestly at the scrawny young man that was his author. He obviously felt affection for his creator, and interest in one that controlled his very existence, but he was quite calm, surprisingly. "And one more thing: am I a Mary Sue?"

"Well, honestly, when I first started writing you, yes. But then you started growing, about halfway through Daily Life. Concerning the pain associated with your voices, I know it's unpleasant, but look at it from my viewpoint. Readers love to see a hero in pain," explained the man whom Jerial could theoretically kill with ease.

Fay slid up behind her mate, her icy eyes on her own author who was standing next to the scrawny boy, smiling calmly.

"And what of me, madam. Did you give me this.... this pain on purpose?" Fay's voice was cold, yet angry. She leaned against Jerial subconsciously, causing the woman before her to smile more gently.

"Yeah... about that. Didn't mean to give you such a nasty past, I swear, but you needed a reason to become an assassin." The woman hand up her hands as a sign of defense. "But hey, it worked right. You've got your revenge. If it helps, you were supposed to originally be a healer. Flimsy, weak and helpless." She watched her character shudder. "Yeah, that's what I thought."

"I dislike the way you turn us into sex objects in private messages," Jerial said. "I have to be honest, I love it, but it's unhealthy for you guys."

Jerial's author stared back into the deep grey eyes that were the product of his own imagination, trying to conceal his embarrassment. He stammered for an answer. Then his eyes lit up. His face turned to one of concentration.

The author turned to Fayane. "You want a ride?" he asked sinisterly. Jerial barely had time to release a gasp before his body shifted to phoenix form, snatching folds of Fayane's clothing and flapping his great wings to enter flight.

"I command you cease control of my body!" yelled Jerial as he shifted back into human form for enough time to spit the words out before his author wrested control back from him.

"I suggest you cease questioning my methods, creation!" was the reply from the smug human.

Fayane's author paled before glaring at Jerial's. "That was out of turn!" In turn, the woman whirled and concentrated herself. Fayane shifted in the blink of an eye, plummeting before quickly shifting into a half form and landing easily. She rose and began to move menacingly towards the scrawny, defenseless boy.

"How dare you turn my mate against me you sniveling, cowardly CHILD!" She snarled, her blades drawn with the sound of singing steel. "You shall pay..." She growled, halting with a snarl when her author shook her head.

"No, no if you kill him, Jerial will cease to exist." The shifter assassin frowned at her creator. "That would be hell-like." The author nodded. "Right. So, no killing the silly teenage boy, yes?" Fay growled before sheathing her blades.
