Physical Description: Juntara is old. Her skin is riddled with wrinkles. Her eyes are personifications of the years she has seen. Her hair is bleached white by both age and long days in the Pitjanta sun. Her eyes are a silvery green, and can no longer see much in detail. Her fingers are gnarled and almost useless due to arthritis. She wears, as most of the Gani Shamans wear, a brownish red cloak that matches the dirt of Pitjanta.

Possessions: Juntara carries with her at all times, a cane made from one of the oldest trees of Pitjanta. Its wood is dark, and has been sanded smooth. Carved into the cane are tiny runes that tell the stories of the greatest Gods of the Shamans' stories. She also wears a horn around her neck, made from the shell of some forgotten creature off the coast of Pitjanta.

Powers or Strengths: Juntara can impose herself upon animals. She sort of inhabits their bodies, and influences their movements. However, she can't force the animal to do something it wouldn't want to do. For example, she couldn't force a bird to fly into a river to be eaten by crocodiles. But she could have the bird alter its course and fly over her enemies, to spy on them. Juntara is also adept at using the herbs of Pitjanta for healing purposes.

Weaknesses: Juntara is old, and with that, comes a lot of weakness. Her bones are brittle, and she lacks the energy of youth. She has trouble seeing anything in detail, being able to mainly make out general shapes. Due to arthritis, she has trouble doing a lot of things with her hands, and has to have servants among the Gani help her with a lot. Also, outside of Pitjanta, she has little knowledge of the world, due to her isolation.

History: Juntara was born in the saddle, so to speak, in the plains of Pitjanta. Among the Gani, birth is considered one of the most sacred events, and hers was especially considered so, because she was born on the night of Karanta, the Holiday celebrating the Goddess-Mother of the Gani, who guides their Shamans to this day. Due to this event, she was chosen to be a Shaman.

Her power manifested itself at the age of six, when her parents found her lost in a trance, and saw a lizard behaving peculiarly. They called the Shamans, would found the truth through their own magic. Since then, she had earned her place as Shaman, undeniably.

As she grew, the Shamans taught her of the histories of the Gani and of their Gods, as well as of practical things, like Alchemy, and even military strategy. She learned her lessons well, and at the age of 22, a special age for the Gani, she was officially made into a Shaman and was given her own group of the Gani to command.

For the next few years, she lead her group timidly. She was afraid and unsure of herself, and thus, didn't take too many risks. But, when she was 26, she used her ability to scout out a group of Nosjianon warriors that were chasing her group. In a brilliant move, she flanked the group in the night, and completely decimated the surprised warriors. This gained her considerable prestige, and more importantly, boosted her confidence.

Around the age of 30, she lead an assault on the city of Tamerlane, which was the hub of most trade coming in through Tian Xia. Through this raid, she gained a lot of gear for the rest of the Gani, and furthered her ascension in renown.

At the age of 40, she gained entrance into the Temple of The Goddess-Mother upon Mt. Temja. Within, she had her first vision of the Gods, and was recognized as one of the Shaman Elders.

By the time Juntara was 50, her followers had grown to be one of the largest groups among the Gani. And, Juntara had grown to be one of the most respected Shamans. However, a virus among the Nosjona lead to a food crisis amongst the Gani. Juntara believed that they should sack the fertile regions in between the cities of the Stylistas, but another of the Shamans, named Tiagra, argued firmly against Juntara's plan. This spurred a conflict between the two, which peaked in a duel between the two, which Juntara won by calling upon a Tjiano, a small dog-like predator with venomous fangs, to aid her.

By winning the duel, Juntara secured her place as the most powerful Shaman among the Gani, and led her raid on the cities until the herds of the Nosjona recovered. Now, at the ripe old age of 60, she continues to lead attacks and train the newer Shamans.

She looks fine, of course, but a little more fleshing out of the history would be good. You should state, explicitly, where she was born. I can infer that she's from Pitjanta but other people reading this won't have a clue if she's wandering the sooqui plane or what. Perhaps a place in pitjanta, and a little more about where/what she's been doing over her life. Assuming she ends up in Marn, etc.
