Faelynne Swanne

Post by Faeythe » Thu Feb 14, 2008 5:47 am

Player Name: Faeythe
Name: Faelynne Swanne
Age: 27
Race: Human

Physical Description:.
Build: Tall and slender, she is not built for strength. Her litheness and flexibility lend an element of grace to even her most subtle movements.
Skin: Pale, nearly to the point of translucence.
Hair: Red with shimmering apricot-blonde highlights. Long and wavy, generally worn up-swept in a careless chignon with a few stray tendrils and few beaded braids escaping its confines.
Eyes: Large and verdant green, her eyes truly are the windows to her soul. Even the most fleeting emotion can often be foretold by the expressiveness of her eyes.
Distinguishing Features: A long serpentine scar down the left side of her neck. Its origins are uncertain
Attire: Her attire is simple and functional. She garbs herself in simple buckskin bodice and britches, a pair of doe-skin boots laced high up her calves and a deeply hooded cloak.

Posessions: Faelynne carries little enough on her person. Her nomadic lifestyle does not befit the acquisition of material items, nor does she desire them. In a small satchel she carries a few stones and elixirs. Faelynne’s stones are imbued with minor powers; this one to provide strength of will, that one to elicit one’s feminine charms to shine more vibrantly, another when placed beneath a pillow and slept upon serves to draw material wealth to the bearer. They are charms, and perhaps their true power lies in the mere fact that they restore confidence in their owners. One can not be sure. As to her elixirs, the alchemy of petal, root and herb has a long-standing tradition in many cultures. Faelynne’s elixirs are simply that, potions mixed from the fruit of the earth. They are claimed to cure minor ailments from headaches to infidelity, to increase a woman’s fertility or a man’s physical prowess. Faelynne learned the arts of imbuing and concocting from her deceased mother, and like her mother she always keeps a few of these charms and potions on hand to peddle to any she might run across, as well as a few for her own private usage.

Powers or Strengths: Faelynne has an intensely dream-like quality about her. A true empath, she feels both her own emotions and those of others acutely. Her perception of both the physical world around her and the hazier realm of emotions is unparalleled. There is something primal about her, a reliance on instinct and impulse above reason that others may find foreign. She is deeply in tune with the nature of man and nature itself, and uses her understanding of such thing to create relics of power from stones, carved wood and elixirs from the fruits of the forest.

Weaknesses: Sadly, Faelynne has not yet been able to bridle the unrestrained whims and furies that go along with her intensely empathetic nature. Prone to everything from outbursts and hysterics to lapses into near catatonic states, she has even been presumed slightly mad.

History: Born into a gypsy’s life, Faelynne spent her youth travelling with her mother Elle; a figure who remained shrouded in mystery even to her closest companion, her daughter. Though by all outward appearances Elle was no more than a soothsayer of sorts, imbuing stones and wood with subtle energies, whispers of Elle’s affinity for dark magic seemed to haunt the two wherever they traveled. The validity of these rumors and whether Faelynne herself might have a penchant for such magic remains uncertain.
It is apparent that some tragedy befell Faelynne’s mother, though precisely what it is remains unclear. With her mother gone, Faelynne retained her nomadic life-style, travelling around peddling elixirs and amulets crafted from stone and wood as her mother she had done with her moth.
Around the age of 18 a brief and fleeting love affair with a man of some societal stature prompted Faelynne to settle down, albeit briefly. When her consort abandoned her for an older woman of greater means, Faelynne was devastated and plunged into one of her tragic emotional meltdowns. Her parting gift to her former lover was a cursed stone. Vagabonds ambushed the man shortly thereafter.
Overwrought with guilt and sorrow, Faelynne disappeared into the vast wilderness, vowing to never let herself become close with another again. She remains detached from society, only occasionally emerging from her self-imposed desolation to mingle with the denizens of the world.

Hello and welcome to Thar.

I need to know the nature of the relics and elixers she can create. Not necessarily an exhaustive list of everything she can do, there can be some flexibility, but some more description of what the relics and elixers are, as well as what the ones she usually carries on her person can do.
