Appearance:

Elvren is an unremarkable human, with shoulder-length black hair, blue eyes, and uninteresting facial features. His body is devoid of scars, tattoos, or any other mark of war. He usually wears flowing clothes, loose-fitting black top and trousers seems to be a favourite of his.

Not particularly muscular, the bagginess of his attire hides his frame from the casual eye. This is deliberate, as Elvren prefers not to announce the fact that he can, in fact, take care of himself, to others.

Possessions:

Elvren owns very little, except for a few changes of clothes, a short sword, which was given to him by his brother, a little money, and a purse to keep it in, and tools for working metal, which is his usual trade.

Powers or Strengths:

Healing: Elvren was bestowed with the remarkable ability to heal others, through the medium of magic. This can be done from up to two feet away from the patient, but it's effects vary at range, and it is best done by touch. The ability drains his own energy, and depending on the severity of the injuries he is healing, it can be used up to four times before he has to sleep. Life-threatening, or critical injuries can be healed once a day, after doing this he usually passes out.

He can also heal himself, although if healing others, the same restrictions apply to it's use. The more severe his own injuries, the harder it is for him to concentrate on the healing, and thus the less he can do.

Metalwork: Elvren learned his father's trade of working metal at a very young age, and has crafted many swords and pieces of armour, along with horseshoes and other mundane items, in his life. He owns a small blacksmith stall within Marn, and can be found there most days, making things to order.

Self-defence: Growing up in a place such as Thar Shaddin, one quickly learns a great deal about combat, to protect oneself from the ill-wishes of other people. Not exactly strong, Elvren instead relies on speed and martial techniques to protect himself from people who would do him harm. He is quite good at it.

Weaknesses:

Elvren is not a fighter. He will only fight in situations where his life, or that of someone else, depends upon it. If severely outnumbered, he will run, so long as nobody else would die as a result of his actions. He would never forgive himself if that was to happen.

Elvren is a good man, and as such his own ethos dictates what he cannot do. Running from a fight he cannot win is fine, as long as he's not bound to protect someone else. In that situation, he would fight and die to give them a chance to survive.

History:

Born in Marn, Elvren has lived in the city ever since. His father was a blacksmith, and his mother a spell caster, on the run from the authorities. They fled Marn when Elvren was barely ten years old, leaving him behind to protect him. Elvren has not seen or heard from them since they left, and presumed them dead a long time ago.

After his parents left Marn, Elvren went to his father's smithy and continued the trade, working the forge every day, and trying to clear his father's backlog of orders. He accomplished this remarkably quickly, and began to gain reputation as a skilled craftsman.

Before she left, his mother imparted the knowledge of magic to him. He learned how to heal others, and himself. After she fled, Elvren went to the Marn authorities and declared himself a magic user. When asked, he explained that he could heal others, and demonstrated.

The authorities grated him permission to use healing magic within the city, and healing magic alone. Since then, Elvren has expanded the smithy to accommodate infirm as well, and runs both simultaneously, with a little help from conventional healers and general labourers to cover the work.

Elvren has gained good press in the local news media for his operations, and continues to run the business, known as "Sigorax Smithy & Infirmary", in the business district of Marn.
