Some People...

Post by Frug » Sun Sep 18, 2005 6:00 pm

This morning was crap. Initially it was a good morning. Got up on time having slept enough, which is a rarity for me, and then biked to work. But on the way to work some lady almost opened her door into me. That was half my fault, half her fault, cause I don't think either of us were paying attention, but when I looked back at her she was all like :x at me. I shoulda given her the finger or something, but I usually don't come up with witty responses like the middle finger in time to give them.

Then I get to work and give my boss a 'good morning' and his response is *grumble grumble*. That's okay though, because I can swear at him and tell him he's fired and stuff. Remarkably I've found a boss who's ruder to me than I am to him. Fortunately we can both take jokes. Last night he fired me until my next shift. I'd have fired him back but I can't fire him if I'm not even working there can I?

So anyway I got a breakfast from McDick's on my way and when i open it I find that my $1 "hash browns" is actually a $1 "hash brown" (singular). One freaking hash brown? What is that. For a whole dollar? You can get like 5 potatoes for a buck. Their coffee sucks too, but I expected that.

Then some lady comes in to make photocopies. At first I'm all nice like I am with everyone, until I make a copy for her and it comes out a little faded. She gives me some lip about "for 7 cents it should be perfect." Not being in the best mood I told her she could always go to a professional copy place, and she flips out. Tells me she doesn't have to take that, asks to talk to my boss, complains a lot. Starts arguing some more with him and me and shit. Totally ruined my morning. Not because my boss took her seriously, he knows I'm friendly with people, but because this lady pissed me off. I probably took it a bit too seriously, but i was about ready to smack her. And it was such a beautiful day when i woke up.

Whenever I wake up happy or in a good mood, in at least a few hours it's usually been sucked up by some asshole (a teacher, most likely). Gosh I'm not looking forward to when I leave school and end up with the same kind of people. I'm totally stalling on getting a job (^_^; ).

Well maybe you'll get lucky and find a cool job like mine. Teachers are taken from a really bad crop of people. I mean, as the saying goes: "Those who can't do, teach." I wanted to teach for a long time and still do, so there you go.

Dammit, Frug . . . I hope you're being sarcastic when you say that about teachers. I mean, I think we are all aware that YOU are a terrible person, yes . . . but my mommy??
