I dunno...maybe i see a case study in everything these days because of all the psychology revision i am doing...but she is sooo messing with you. This promise you made to her to help her whatever, and her needing the help...going to you.... it reeks of so many things, mainly on her side. Its seems such a shame she is using such a nice guy.
Btw, I remember Xyon saying you guys were from Merseyside? I am in Liverpool, so I could come and have a 'word' with her if you want. >_>

Thank you phoenix. It says alot that you offer.
To everyone here, thank you so much for your compassion and support, I really appreciate it. One other thing I want to say thank you about, is believing in me. No one here seemed to think I had done anything wrong, no one here seemed to doubt that I had acted with honour. That is something that means a lot to me.
I think it was about time I said that.

If violence is not the answer, you have asked me the wrong question.

No problem Shadow, and thanks Xyon, you could have said more, lucky for her you didn't.
Send me a picture of her and if i see her in Queens square I'll push her in front of a bus.... kidding people....kidding. <_<
There was no reason to doubt you, you seem nothing if not a nice guy, and Xyon backs you up with everything you say.
Good luck for the future, hopefully she will not feature in it.

I'll take your bet and raise you fifty.Railtus Anstrun wrote:Who wants to bet she has been pulling some further idiocy between now and then?
Again, pulling another 180, punishing me for not having done a damn thing wrong. Then refusing to explain why. Which was more confusing because last I heard she was planning to show me her new flat.
I insisted on an explanation, to which she replied she was getting angry. An event I found rediculous to the point of laughability when she has punished me most when nothing was wrong. The reason I gave up on an explanation was ackowledgement of the existance of a line marking the boundry beyond mindless persistance.
So I left it, have asked her to delete everything from me so I have a clean break, said be gone for good, take care and that I hope never to hear from her again. Allows me to escape with a little dignity.
All this was done by text (she refused anything more personal).
Now for the part that made me want to post.
As you might expect, I was incensed about her having this "victory" over me by actually getting under my skin with her latest batch of games, and felt inclined to get even.
Started thinking of ways for revenge, then decided I would not cheapen myself for her. I am a decent man, and she can't take that away from me. Which I would call a victory for me.
So rather than looking for revenge, I can leave the matter in Tyr's hand. She can carry the weight of her own cruelty and treachery, I choose not to.
In the space of 36 hours, it is pretty amazing how good I feel about the whole situation. I think what has pleased me the most is being able to survive with my full honour intact.
Which incidently happens to be the most satisfying revenge I can think of.

Just be careful when you play the honorable card. People will accuse you of just trying to be a martyr or trying to get sympathy.
Obviously I think you did the right thing by letting it go. As someone who is particularly vulnerable to the temptation of taking the last stab at someone who's wronged you, I can safely say it rarely works out. Doing nothing and moving on actually works out at least as often as making that final jab. Usually some little gift of information comes back to you. If she's really that twisted, she'll end up in shit later, don't worry.
I think I said this before, but I'll never cease to be disappointed with the things humans will do on a personal level.

Thank you.
I'm glad you think I did the right thing, I try to at least. And I also respect your opinion. No matter how much she deserves a final stab, doing it would still involve a deliberate act of cruelty on my part, and I'll not allow her that power over me.
Yes, she has issues. Major issues. Truthfully, I pity her. She has already lost a lot of good friends through her actions, not just me. I'm sure something will come to haunt her, and even more certain that Tyr does not smile on her actions.
I'll remember that about never ceasing to be disappointed with the things humans do on a personal level. It seems appropriate somehow.

What does amaze me is that, no matter how much crud she flings your way, you persist in trying to sort things out. I know you, and I know the code you follow. It's a pity you're following the "Perseverance" virtue so much with this.
I think, in all of this, you have done nothing wrong. Except one thing.
STOP CHASING AFTER THE WOMAN
