Physical Description:

5'7, blue eyes, chestnut hair, busty and curvy,with fair skin prone to freckles if out in the sun too long

Possessions:
Technically, her possessions belong to Marcella unless someone gives her something special all her own.

She has a room, similar to her sisters. The rooms are a mirror image. A single beds, a small dressing table each, a small jewelry box with pins for their hair, a brush, small chest of drawers to hold undergarments, a small vial of parfum... A wardrobe for holding the dresses and shoes
She has dresses and shoes befitting her station
She has a locket, similar to one her sister has, from their mother.

Powers or Strengths:

Personality
Merielle is extremely personable. Her blue eyes sparkle when she speaks. There's the hint of something mischievous in that blue-eyed gaze. Her laugh is infectious. People like to talk to her.

Swashbuckler
While Marisol was off being trained to be the perfect little lady, Merielle was off being their older brother's little tomboy sister shadow - learning how to use swords, swing from ropes, throw a man twice her size, and sneaking horses from the stable to ride bareback, hair unbound, in races to win a few bishani. While no seasoned veteran, Merielle can (surprisingly) hold her own.

Ambition
But alas, a girl has to grow up...

Growing up meant considering her options and seeking ways to improve her situation. Marriage? Eh, maybe, if it were the right man, though good, decent, faithful men weren't easy to find. As for a good woman, well, same shit, different gender, am I right?

And this is how she ended up "forced" to be a Lady's maid - partly to help out her sister, but more to give her the opportunity to grow in circles to which she might not have had access otherwise.


Weaknesses and Flaws:

Bored is bad
Merielle is bright - in mind and personality and the menial, day-to-day work of being a lady's maid is tedious at best. Merielle prefers to be sent on errands to deliver little notes to this person or that. To find out who is doing what with whom.

This can lead to stupid mistakes. She has to justify her position as a lady's maid regularly.

She probably is better suited to be being a bar maid...

Extroverted
And there's the matter of that personality - extroverts get a bad rap, yo. "Brassy" "Too Talkative" "Sassy". Sigh.

More swash than buck
Merielle did tagalong to big brother's training and would play parry this and block that, but she is not a seasoned, veteran fighter or even very strong. Sometimes stamina is what wins a fight and hers is average for her build and height.

Known Family
Older sister Marisol (22) currently an NPC (not too much too her unless someone want her as well) - looks similar to Merielle which makes them a 'matching set' of maids.

Marisol is older and with 4 more years of experience than Merielle as well as a bit of background with hair dressing and other such small talents of a lady's maid so in most ways she is a perfect ladies maid. She is relatively skilled at being able to predict the needs and wants of Marcella. Marisol takes her job almost too seriously and unfortunately Marcella finds her relatively...unentertaining since they do not share many interests.

Marisol is religious but keeps it to herself. If she is not doing her work she can be found with a book or a piece of embroidery. Her quiet and shy nature keeps her from interacting too much with the other household staff which sometimes makes them think that she is a snobby, although sometimes because she is quiet people can forget she is around and listening - a very different tactic then her sister. She can get quite verbal with her younger sister though, especially if she thinks that she will do anything to jeopardize Marcella's reputation or their jobs. Besides that they have a decent relationship although Marisol is a bit jealous of her ability to fit in with other people so naturally.

Being a matched pair, doesn't mean Marisol and Merielle are exactly alike. Marisol is slimmer and a less filled out, though the pair are the same height and have the same chestnut colored hair and are obviously related. Mari's eyes are light brown where Meri's are blue.

Small landowners seeking to raise the importance of their holdings and their name. The Sabado vineyards produce an excellent sweet vintage.

Older Brother: Michaelangelo (25)
Heir to the vineyard and due to marry within the next year to Usoa Baltz de Guiate.

History
Merielle is energetic, as a people person she usually can weasel her way into most situations and with sharp eyes and ears she picks up anything she can - she loves this part of working for Marcella, it makes her feel like a spy and provides the excitement she craves especially because being a lady's maid can sometimes be quite boring.

Unfortunately she sometimes can make errors when assisting in the bedroom - she was almost fired when she ripped a pair of expensive stockings as she helped dress Marcella and the small rip became a massive run that was more than a bit of an embarrassment. Thankfully not too many people saw before it was fixed. She had no previous skills as a lady's maid and had previously been working odd jobs such as washing laundry, helping out at some small farms that she could get to, maybe occasionally picking a pocket or two....anything to keep her entertained and busy. She probably wouldn't have accepted the job working for Marcella if Marisol hadn't convinced (*cough* forced *cough*) her to. Merielle can be a bit resentful towards Marisol who tries to keep her reigned in.

You could maybe add ambition to her strengths. In Corezo, it is not uncommon for the women to be the masters at spycraft, and to be valued for their negotiation abilities. Perhaps Merielle aspires to become something more than a maid, someone who is able to affect the ever-present scheming and politicking that is so central to the life of the highborn? While she would never be a named player, it would not be unheard of for her to wield considerable influence in her own right, so long as she played her cards right.
