Plot Thread: Magic Happens to Other People

Thread starting date: 20th April, 122PW.

Location: This arc of the plot takes place in and around Marn. Thread link incoming!

Summary: Ten years ago, a man stumbled into Tallis' bar and was ejected, minus the sword he was carrying. Ages before that, a little urchin boy stumbled into his bar and found work. Boy and sword are intertwined in their destinies, and Ikby is determined to find out what the deal is with the old man and his older sword...

This adventure promises travel beyond Marn's walls, and the delving into the history of an ancient tale of Pal Tahrenor!

Other Notes: Anyone who gets deeply involved in this plot as it stands better be ready to leave the city when the plot develops. That's a while down the line, but you get the idea.

Alright, so I was thinking about the plot hook for Ikby:
Rather than altering anything in your Jassin's current history, let's assume Ikby meets the bloke who left that sword in Marn 10 years ago. While the gnome is in Keltaris, he overhears the bloke bemoaning the strange property of the sword which dragged him to Marn for no reason he could remember. Ikby then gets it into his head to visit Marn once more, and visit the bar the man left the sword in 10 years ago in the hopes of starting the process of tracking it down. (Finding it still there will be a pleasant surprise =p )

Did you want to post first and set the ambience for Jassin's bar?
Or shall I have Ikby post his arrival in Marn to kick things off?

The only thing I knew about the Raven Basillards is that they exist, and until I know more and can verify that that is the kind of thing I'm going for, I'd rather not. To be honest I want to keep my options for the sword as open as possible for maximum plot hijinks.
