grahhhhh they didn't do what I wanted them to do (damn characters). Okay, so how would you feel about doing a fade to black with them cuddling or whatever (depending on how Ivone responds) where we just leave them alone and let them get used to each other for the current scene. Rather than start again much later like I'd initially proposed, how about we maybe do a transition with Aurelio coming back the next day?

The issue that I'm mulling over right now is that the sexual chemistry is there -- but we're missing the conversational/emotional chemistry (due to the whole everything being fake bit, I think). I think it's something that would be fixed with time, but before we move forward with plot I'd like to try to see if we can't get to a point where it's at least starting. So I'm hoping that if we have the next scene focus on them getting to know each other or doing something together or going out together (we could have them go to a theater event or music event or even go dancing or something?) and having some sort of common interest, that could spark some more natural conversation.

Right now neither one of them seems to want to open up, and I can't really blame them -- I doubt I would in that situation either. They're both still trying to feel the other out, haha. I think the best venue to get them into talking would be something a little more social with an activity that both gives them something to focus on without that sorta awkward intimate setting getting in the way.

What do you think?

EDIT - okay, I talked a bit with ming and I don't want to give up on this scene just yet. I still want to have them do a thing tomorrow or the day after, but I think I shouldn't give up so easily just yet. So maybe let's see how Ivone responds and I'm going to try a little bit of a different tact with Aurelio to build them up to making plans and him trying to make her feel comfortable through a different setting.

Agreed, they are still trying to feel each other out. The downside of another, outside venue is that I can't imagine Aurelio behaving as he is now in a public setting. If he did, the gossip and rumors would explode. If they are to be business partners in public, then dating type activities in public won't work either. Plus, they JUST got into the bath.

I closed out the first meeting thread with a statement that Aurelio left sometime during the night - you can edit that if you think he wouldn't. I am thinking if he does leave, it will be after she falls into a deep sleep after the nightmare and maybe leaves her a note?

Or, we can edit the last post and continue the pillow talk (without NSFW stuff) in the new thread.
