Physical Description:
Dark brown hair flows around the curves of the ears and stops at the base of his neck. Dark bushy eyebrows rest above eyes of deep-blue. Generally is going to be found clean-shaven, though it’s not to say he’s never missed a shave or two so that there’s a few bristles needing to be tended too.
While there is certainly ‘meat on his bones’ he’s got a lanky look to him and stands somewhere a bit under six feet in height. Most days he can be found wearing clothing of simple material and design in good condition.

Personality:
Easy going personality. Generally confident, and in those few occasions where he isn’t confident he’ll bluff. Smiles come easily to his face, laughs are quite the natural and pleasing sound. He’s the type that when you do manage to anger him his voice is most likely to go quieter instead of yelling. Galen believes in loyalty but has his own system of loyalty. Whomever he’s loyal to, or whatever cause he will do what he feels is best whether or not that coincides with the normal ways of showing said loyalty.

Possessions:
House (not his own) but lives in a house along with his parents and younger sister
Whittling knife
Mule (bay mule with long donkey like ears and a small white snip on his nose, a bit under 15 hands)
Plenty of modest clothes in good condition

Powers or Strengths:
Reasonably proficient with his fists
Tough – able to take a fair share without breaking down
Friends – he’s got friends in low places… drug dealers (Just NPC’s)
Carpentry – not that he’d likely ever use this skill, he has it.. but he can make things that are ‘usable’ but no fine touch
Family support (modest family)

Weaknesses and Flaws:
Limited education – able to read some words but wouldn’t say proficient
Drinks – he’s woken up in a back alley more than once
Drugs – not often, but he knows where to get them and has tried a few

History:
A flashy background? Excitement and life altering events that harden one’s heart and give grand goals in life? Tragic fate befallen? Nope! Galen’s actually had things pretty easy.
As a child he grew up in Marn along with an older brother and younger sister. Galen’s mother lived at home to raise the children. His father was a simple carpenter.
Galen had a number of friends, mostly other kids around the same status. Children of blacksmiths, tanners, tailors and other such similar tasks.
Around the age of seventeen however Galen made a few new friends. These guys were so much fun! Always laughing, so carefree and acting as if they were untouchable so that he had to start hanging out with them! They were a few years older but allowed him amongst their numbers. The boys dealt drugs, knew all sorts of lowly scum and some folk in higher up positions as well. Amazing what sorts of people have skeletons in their closets.
After a few months Galen pulled back on his own accord. He wanted to keep playing with his new friends but was getting more realistic notion of what road that could lead too. He went back to spending more time with his original friends. Still, he does enjoy those drinks and has tried a few drugs, he simply chose not to sell any, or be with those who do.
He attempted to learn his father’s art in carpentry but found it dull and while he could make modest examples of some things they never have the finesse and artistic value to them that his father’s work always had.
A friend of his a while back jokingly told him he should quit trying to be a carpenter and instead join the city guards. Galen decided that was an excellent idea and so is going to try and sign up!
Has been living with his parents and younger sister. The oldest brother got married and moved out two years back.
