Physical description: There was a time, not that long ago, when Amillari could be described as a beautiful woman. She had long, wavy, thick golden hair; her skin gleamed with daily washings and she had access to a healthy diet. However, the past few years have been hard on her and her looks have taken a turn for the worst. Her hair has thinned dramatically, it has fallen out in places and what is left has turned a into an oily, muddy mess of tangled knots. It has been four years since she last had a decent shower, instead she has had to settle for sponging off with buckets of rainwater runoff. Without a decent meal in ages, she has lost a substantial amount of weight, leaving her ribs exposed, her face has sunken in and she has obtained an overly frail appearance.
Her once-nice clothes are now little more than rags. Her feet are damaged and bruised from going without shoes once the heels of her last pair wore through. Her skin is riddled with scars from the many nicks and scraps she has received living within the sewer system.
Possessions:
Her possessions are few but among them are a tent-like structure constructed out of a few sheets of rusted sheet metal and torn bedsheets, held upright by anchoring the corners with a length of old rope. The floor is made of a warped piece of piece of wood to keep the dampness of the mud beneath it from sinking into their bones. Two adults and five children sleep huddled together this way. She keeps an old metal pot used for cooking, washing and bathing (when enough water is available for the latter two).
Strengths:
- Highly Educated: In her younger years, Amillari was able to afford to attend Marn's University and pursue whatever interests she desired. Her course varied widely from one to the next and she changed directions many times.
- Cook: She was at one time a pretty good cook, but with little more than table scraps, stale bread and rat meat to work with it is hard to make anything more than a thin soup when trying to feed a whole group of people.
- Knows a Little Apothecary Knowledge: If she had the proper ingredients she could treat some of the common ailments the tunnel people suffer from, but it's incredibly hard to get these items living where she is.
- Limited First Aid Knowledge
- Plants: She has some knowledge and past experience working with plants, but very few are available underground. This includes gardening as well as harvesting and their use in both cooking and medicine.
- Kind: Amillari is kind; good with children, the elderly and the sick
- People Skills: She had good people skills at one time, but now uses it to ensure that the others aren't taken advantage of because of their situation
- Outspoken: She will fight for what she believes in and rarely takes the word "No" for an answer. She will voice her opinion until she is blue in the face and she will let you know when she thinks you are wrong and what she thinks you could be doing better (and how to go about it).
- Protective: At the risk of putting herself in harms way, she is very protective of those she cares for. Now, she is never the type to go out and start a fight, especially one she thinks she would lose, but if she thinks a loved one is in danger, she will put herself between them and whatever the cause of their plight may be.
- Scryer: She has some scryer-like abilities that allow her to see glimpses of events or conversations that have and recently happened around the city. She does this by submerging her hands into a bowl of water and falling into a deep meditative state. It takes a lot of energy out of her, making her feel faint and sometimes causing memory lapses afterwords. These glimpses can be disorienting and at times can be hard to tell when the event she has seen has happened (they could be hours or days after the fact). Often times what she sees comes across as hazy and she is left to interpret what she thinks may have happened.
- Magic Veil: She can disguise magic around her, to help avoid detection by the battlemages. The only way she knows how to do this is trough a complicated and time consuming ritual but it is one that she insists must be maintained. She has been training some of the sewer people to aid in the preparation of this ritual, as well as how to maintain it, but it is a constant strain on her both physically and mentally.
- Strong Willed: Or she appears to be. She keeps up a brave face for those around her so that they may have the will to live another day.
Weaknesses:
- Physically Weak: Due to malnourishment, lack of proper sleep, stress and struggling to cloak magic use within the sewers, Amillari constantly feels physically weak, tired, and on the verge of collapse.
- Tries to put on a Brave Face:, but is often left worrying where the next meal will come from, who will need medical attention and how much of a strain will housing the next group of Paragon members be on their ever-decreasing supplies.She never knows what tomorrow will bring or if her world will come crumbling down the next morning.
- Regret: At times she is plagued by feelings of regret for never returning home. She regrets leaving her older children behind. She regrets not being able to contact Sebastian and tell him where she is. She regrets the secrets and the lies she kept now that they have all unraveled.
- Misses Her Family to No End: She misses Sebastian and her older children to no end. She thinks about them constantly. She wishes that she could have been there for them all the many times that they needed her growing up. Sometimes at night she watches over them, but it only makes it harder on her.
- Paragon: She worries that the young children are being negatively influenced by Paragon and it's promise of a better life (without proof to back up their claims). She does not trust the group, but she knows she has no other option than to rely on their assistance if they are going to survive. Helping them out feels wrong, but as of yet it is just a feeling.
- Illness: Amillari is prone to bouts of illness. Her lack of energy combined with the poor sewer conditions and limited access to medical care tend to expose her to frequent bouts of illness.
- Stickler for Ritual: She is a stickler for maintaining the complicated ritual needed to keep up her magical veil. A large portion of her time is spent arranging stones and candles, scattering salt and walking in intricate patterns drawn on the ground while reciting her spell. She insists that this is the only way that she can protect those living in the sewer and that if she is not allowed to maintain the veil that the battlemages will come for them. Recently, she has recruited the help of some of the younger kids so that they may one day learn how to protect themselves.
History:

- has a large family; mother, grandmother, several aunts and lots of sisters. Family originated in Darleone, but moved to Marn before she was born.

- Met Stephan first, the two of them secretly practiced some magic together. She helped him to focus his healing abilities and protected them from being detected.
- Later they met Sebastian and brought him into the relationship. They decided it was better to keep their magic from him because he was a puradyne
- Was promised to marry a second cousin back in Darleone after she finished her education, but the engagement was broken off when she announced that she was seeing two human men

- she grew worried for Stephan. She took to watching him (with her magic) while he was away at work. That was how she knew about the raid on the store.
- she grew up hearing the rumors of battlemages creeping into homes at night and entire families disappearing. She worried that they were on their way to her house and in a panicked state she woke her young children in the middle of the night and left them with the kind elderly neighbor
- in her hurry she left the front door wide open and left with nothing but what she was wearing at the time
- she spent that first night huddled in a dirty alley in the historical district
- she spent a few weeks traveling from one run-down building to the next looking for a safe place to sleep among the many homeless and unsavory types
- later she found her way deeper into the unknown as she discovered that there were whole groups of people that lived below ground in the tunnels and sewer systems beneath Marn. She moved into one such camp and over time became another member of their society.
- She was deeply saddened by what she saw down there. many sick and injured people went without treatment because they feared arrest more than death. Many more were starving. Then, there was a group of men that would use the tunnels for their own purposes, with little to no concern for those that lived down there. The Paragon came and went as they pleased, took what they wanted and for a long time gave nothing in return, but Amillari would not let these people (her people) be taken advantage of.
- she rallied the others around her and made some demands of her own. She demanded that if paragon wanted to use their home that they would do so at a cost. Paragon would provide them with the needed food, medical supplies and other materials they needed and in exchange they would have access to the sewers to come and go as the pleased, provided they treated the {sewer people need a better name} with respect. The deal was laughed at at first until they found out that Amillari was a rather powerful magic user and they decided that was a much better arrangement.
