With the expansion of threads in specific areas, perhaps it is time to have a Tian Xia and other areas, forums for threads.
A story is like a tapestry; it is never finished until the final thread is sewn.

One for each of the major continents/empires would be useful for organisation (I think Darleone could classify as a separate forum as well, especially with the prospect of Noituratan/Darleone interactions on the horizon). Admittedly, some of those forums may feel a little lonely and empty at the outset, but that might also encourage development and RP in those areas.
There are a few threads which would already fit in an Eyropa forum, and the time is finally coming for some new Tian Xia RPs, so I think now is probably a good time to take care of this kind of thing before the number of threads expands more.
That's my tuppence, at any rate

Setting Info
We sorted out dates for the vast majority of Rebellion threads. I'm keeping them catalogued here and in the post below it.
Planned guard and paragon threads remain for the most part the same.
Guards
Meesh and Frug (mostly Meesh) will work together to figure out what the Marn and Shim people eat and grow. What is their main staple foods? What if anything do they export? What if anything do they import?
And that's all the notes I had taken. I forget if I was drinking, but I think most of the time we spent bullshitting. >>

- Marn's city size is 12km squared (now in the city stats).
- The Astral realm has always been around. However, it is only relatively recently that there has been interactions with humans.
We sorted out dates for the vast majority of Rebellion threads. I'm keeping them catalogued here and in the post below it.
Planned guard and paragon threads remain for the most part the same.
Guards
- Guard thread on the wall once the Yiamas! thread is finished. After wall sabotage have ferric investigate farius
- Counter infiltration into Paragon once the Yiamas! and Marn Restoration Gala threads are finished.
- Figure out battlemage movements and how they are responding to Paragon.
- What investigations and raids have happened?
- Decide when the bomb should go off. Due to the slowness of its originating thread, it's probable that the thread itself will be a flashback with the bomb explosion happening around the time the Gala is going on.
- Start planning for Shanuri's cell's assassination plots. Target for Ivone & Aurelio, and for Shanuri & Riocus. Andras and Hanyeul running backup and setting stuff up.
- Get Three approved and start present threads for the infiltration squad.
- Figure out the Ryxa plothole in past rps with Navarre. Put in another battlemage to take her place? Perhaps kill off Ryxa?
- Stuff between Azuel and Shanuri
- Need more connections to the sewer thread.

zhaltev playable: shifter city Tov is making edits to the Zhaltev info in the wiki and will put up some character ads.
What kori says orcs think of shifters Kori should be getting up a write-up for orc city very soon, if he hasn't done so already. He had said Sunday was his initial time frame.
jason: other people having input into what types of animals are in the south of khazyani Jason could use input into what everyone would like to see going on in the south of khazyani.
apprenticeships: FULL SPEED AHEAD. Apprenticeships are normal for trade skills.
apprenticeships vary between masters -- at one point do they beomce qualified
- some might be licensed, with paperwork or fees associated/ tests/ procedures
-- some just do what they 've been doing for years and train up students who just learn from the master without necessarily getting the license, and use their master's reputation to earn their clientele.
- depends on what they're going for. Some things might have a very templated structure while others aren't so typical and might not be so regulated.
- would there be university courses to help with licensing?
- use modern day ideas of unions/guilds to deal with the licensing issue? That way when the guild says someone is ready to get the license the individual will get it (the guild takes a cut). Question: don't know how many craftsmen would be in marn.
Have a list of trades ideas -- things that haven't been done in marn, or to show who is active I will be putting up a list with various ideas of trades/professions as well as keeping an active list of which characters belong to each profession so people can see where we might have an abundance (blacksmiths) or a complete absence (shoemakers, chandlers,etc.)
government sanctioned test for tradesmen. So for less popular trades they would add a higher tariff for not being in a guild, give a general look around and approve. 5% extra tax?

Big tapestry in the central hallway for marn. Very old. Been described as artistic kind of recreation of what they believe is history. There's a big battle with fort marn in the background . Fighting going on, people dying. Thought to be part of the city and it being made after the fort existed and expanded. Different areas controlling it. Symbolic elements: fort in the background (local history). No descendant names. Some monsterish symbols / dragons around the outside. There's a border around the image and along the bottom. Symbols, not writing. ask frug about specific details about tapestry
People believe it to be an artisially glorified retelling of history. People in armor are supposed to represent guard or who they were before the guard defending the area. Might be various personal interpretations of symbols -- regarding history of the city or magic laws. There have been no npcs or pcs named who have studied the tapestry. Tapestry is mostly ignored. No real interest in regards to historians.
Sky said she might try her hand at sketching the tapestry for use in the wiki. Which is awesome!
Slang for good parts of city vs bad: We are going to let slang develop organically through play but here are some ideas that were thrown around.
Historic district: old city
Player thoughts: secrets make it hard to develop in marn. Do we want to leave it to admin to develop or make it more open? Players feel frustrated by secretive limitations.
likes the idea of secrets so long as admin are willing to do world dev around them so player sdo't feel shut out. Wants a concrete answer. Expect admins to take care of admin to put descriptions in so that secrets can remain secrets without players needing develop

kaledin manner is an example of a cool secret- - cool thing up on the hill nobody knows about but everyone knows something is going on. Certain parts could be better developed -- sewers

dwarven armor/weapons blessings are regarded metaphysically as similar to gnome stuff. People generally regard it as being non-magical -- it's a gods' blessing vs actual magic. A puradynic priest might get philosophical about it. Magic is seen as something as a corrupting influence. If something is seen as purely magical it is bad but if it is coming form an external source it isn't as bad, such as a god (dwarven armor/weapon blessings, smithing)
frug's problem with tunnels: he never imagined it being a second city under the city. there are sewers and if people feel they need to do more expansive stuff for other projects they can do it, but aqueducts etc, not stuff big enough to b a city. Tunnels you can walk in are fine; tunnels you don't know about but secret sort of tunnels under the city . Mineshafts are good becuase there's a reason for it but it's not necessarily stuff peopel know about. It makes sense for there to be a mineshaft/quarry. As long as there's a reason and epxlantion that's cool

Loyalists: finding paragon's hidey holes
investigating the wall (farius as a suspect)

Use the trio as NPCs for the time being, have the loyalists sorta following after them trying to catch them in the act and meanwhile paragon seperates themselves from them.
Selling out thread between Farius and Sebastian, happens after the wall.
Thread between Sebastian and Sisara shortly after Yiamas thread.
Darrik/Toast/Katona - next thread to highlight Katona, to kick off investigation. Have the rat shifter guy involved with the sewer people, directing them or whatnot.
Last thread ended with a section of the wall that had been sealed up with illusion. As a result they found a stockpile of decomposing bodies shored up behind the illusion. They were attacked by orcrats, and because of that the battlemages have been alerted. Also have flotsam shifters/ragpicker people who hunt for shit down there to trade and barter with. Lead by Gladrags.
Sewer people / ragpickers intersect through rp? Ragpickers not interested in helping the guards anymore.
slaver carts in the sewers as a way to lead back to the community/staging ground.
Ferric/Darrik thread after the next sewers thread. Link up the sewer investigations to the wall investigations.
Find 'ins' for Three to start backstabbing Paragon -- maybe use Farius's defection to Paragon as a way for Three to use Odelina and Sisara to backstab Paragon.

- Nav is brainstorming a meet and greet thread to establish people, within the city. To set up embassies, create a dialog.
- Nav is trying to leave various Noitu characterizations open to other players.
- On one front is the creepy-cute noitu knocking on doors. On the other end will be legit lovecraftian stuff going on with the leaders. He's still brainstorming with that, what sort of creepy stuff might be going on in smaller towns.

Darrik/Toast/Katona - next thread to highlight Katona, to kick off investigation. Have the rat shifter guy involved with the sewer people, directing them or whatnot.
Last thread ended with a section of the wall that had been sealed up with illusion. As a result they found a stockpile of decomposing bodies shored up behind the illusion. They were attacked by orcrats, and because of that the battlemages have been alerted. Also have flotsam shifters/ragpicker people who hunt for shit down there to trade and barter with. Lead by Gladrags.
Sewer people / ragpickers intersect through rp? Ragpickers not interested in helping the guards anymore.
slaver carts in the sewers as a way to lead back to the community/staging ground.
Ferric/Darrik thread after the next sewers thread. Link up the sewer investigations to the wall investigations.
Find 'ins' for Three to start backstabbing Paragon -- maybe use Farius's defection to Paragon as a way for Three to use Odelina and Sisara to backstab Paragon.
Other Stuff
- Shifter lifespans: Zina feels that the 200 year lifespan cap on shifters is stupid and an unreasonable age limit for shifters.
- Change shifter ages to have a more variable average, case-by case more than a general rule. 100 years as a general average for most types of shifters, but varies widely between different kinds.
- Start making the date in the first post link to the plot discussion.
- A new wiki page for other alchemical concoctions -- poisons and other stuff -- things with negative results. Things people can make or have made. Link to each at the bottom of each page.

Blah. I'm going to ask that we wait another month or so before the bombings occur. I'm asking this as the person who has been struggling to keep things going and waiting for things to pick up since 2010, because I had wanted the Gala to play out first, with a focus on interrelationships and to get a feel for the machinations of things before the violence started to occur. Initially, I'd picked the Gala as the main starting point because there would be so many characters in it who had political motives, and after some of those motives felt more established then I thought it would be a good time to introduce the violence.
Things have changed a lot since the idea was first put down after the thread with Saruna, Kori, Fay and Derin, and I can't tell you guys how happy it makes me to have it grow as much as it has. But, I'm going to be a little bit selfish this once and ask that it wait a bit longer (also why I'd encouraged the splits, as I felt it would make the conversations easier to track and help those who are slower to post stay focused more on their parts rather than having to try to track their partners posts in between a deluge of other conversations and actions).
Also sorry I didn't make it to give my input while it was happening. When I realized I wasn't going to be able to go yesterday morning I was very frustrated, but stuff happens.
