Name- Marcus "Gallows" Danford
Age-Unknown he tells people mid-twenties.
Race-Human
Weight-200+
Height- 6'4}
Hair Colour- Brown
Eyes:Blue
Appearance-
Marcus is a big man who is well muscled from years of work, who despite being larger then most he is faster then he looks he's got the face of a man who looks like he may steal your wallet with a three inch scar on his forehead a broken nose that didn't heal right and faintly crooked teeth. His hair comes to his shoulders and is typically tied back in a loose ponytail. He dresses comfortably but practically wearing loose fitting clothes but tight enough not to snag on anything should need rise he needs to run somewhere he usually heavy work boots.
Weaknesses-
Being a big man he has the usual problems with his height and weight. He's ill suited for delicate work because of his meaty hands(He's got mitts for hands.)
Marcus has a long fuse this a both a weakness and a strength for him he'll sit there and try and talk things out best he can but when he finally hit's that point of no return well..That's where this becomes a weakness as he will keep that rage going for hours.
He's also slow to trust others seeing people constantly back stab each other for no reason.
Strengths-
Marcus is a upbeat kind of guy he keeps positive despite the situations he may be in.It's how he got the nickname Gallows because of is more often then not cheerful attitude in horrible situations.
His physical strength is one of his major pluses once lifting twice his own weight though he did pop his shoulder in the process.
Marcus wants to be a good man so he's often a gentle giant to others he meets and will defend people he considers unable to defend themselves.
He's rather good at fixing things nothing too small but things like carriages and construction and such things.
Personality-
Most of his major traits already described we'll some them up here! Marcus is a good man with a long temper that when poked enough he's the kind of man who will throw a table. Cheerful to a fault he keeps his slight grin on during fights and afterwards when he's holding a broken nose or possible stab wound.
He's a quiet man when he's alone or with unfamiliar company but will still have the same upbeat attitude but his eyes won't reflect it at this point.
Possessions-
He owns a few knives each for various purposes mostly work(Opening boxes and etc) but one for self defense this particular one while it seems like a knife to him looks like a bowie knife to regular people it was an ugly thing with a studded hand-guard making pretenses to being anything less then it was.A weapon for killing someone. He usually keeps this one on his back belt the rest stored in a toolbox until needed with other various things.
He lives in a small apartment paying his rent through odd jobs easily making enough to pay despite this he wants an actual career something steady.Other then that his apartment is decently furnished nothing too bad and he keeps it clean.
History-
Marcus was left at orphanage when he was between baby and toddler since they didn't really know his exact age. He grew up running the streets where his cheerful demeanor was usually appreciated because of the hard life they were leading. He was adopted when he was a bit older but it wasn't really official just a man he had worked for who on occasion took care of him he adopted the mans last name as his own none the less. Eventually his hoodlum lifestyle with his friends who dragged from one bit of semi-legal activity to the next finally came to a head in the worse kind of way. He found himself wrongly accused of killing a man and was sentenced to death his sentence came out to hanging. He faced it easily enough and told the executioner."Hey this thing doesn't look too safe.."When they attempted to hang him his prediction turned out to be true as the scaffolding fell apart rope snapping before he could hang the poor executioner died during this while Marcus walked away with the scar now on his forehead."Told you so." was all he said on the matter.

Re: Marcus "Gallows" Danford
I know we've already met in chat, but I wanted to say hello and welcome you once more.
I've read over your character and for the most part I like what I see so far. I find it a refreshing change to see a man of his build used for something other than a hulking warrior responsible for countless killing sprees. In fact I'm really looking forward to seeing him in action.
However, I'd like to see you expand on the history a bit more. Maybe you can add in how he felt about being raised in an orphanage and never knowing his birth parents. How old was he when he was adopted? If it wasn't an official adoption, I'm assuming he would be in his teen years to be taken in by somebody he worked for. How does/did he feel about this 'adoption'? Does he think of this man as a father? Are they still in contact?
He seems to have a strong work ethic, where did this come from? Was it learned in the orphanage or trough the man who adopted him? He seems to like to work with his hands, what are his preferred types of jobs? Why does he take on what seems like small part-time jobs instead of pursuing a career? If he were to pick a career what path would he choose?
What kind of crimes was he involved in? Petty theft? Vandalism? Something more serious? I'm assuming it would have to escalate into something bad for him to face execution. Now I'm not sure if you read the part of the setting relating to the Guard and crime, but any execution preformed in Marn is done out of the public eye. Many Guards would be present and I'm sure it would be damn near impossible to simply walk away from such a sentence.
So I was thinking that maybe you might want to rethink this part of the history. Maybe instead of walking away from his own execution he was offered a lesser sentence in exchange for a plea bargain? Maybe he ratted out some old friends or enemies on the street to serve a shorter jail time with some probation? It's up to you what you want to do, but from what little clues you've provided that it seems more reasonable to assume that should a failed attempt at execution happen that he would be placed back in a cell until such time as the Guard were ready to try again.
I'd like to hear your thoughts on the matter and don't feel as if I am asking you to answer all of these questions, I'm simply throwing out ideas to help you flesh out his history so that we know more about him.
When you are ready to have me look over it again, please leave a reply here.
