Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter, as of 11 AM Australian Eastern Standard Time on Monday, September 4th, 2006, is dead.
Call your damnable hunt. We shall see who I drag screaming to hell with me.

That's really awful. He had a wife who adored him (and vice versa) and two kids.

I heard that, at a 7-11, and I believed the guy, cause no one could make that up. Or so I tell myself.
You’re gonna find out you’re already dead, and I was the world coming down on your head.

Wow. Thought that guy was invincible...

Sting ray barb through the freaking chest? Damn.

But you know, for a man like Steve Irwin it just wouldn't have seemed right for him to die of old age in a hospital bed. It seems like an appropriate ending for him all things said.

And it is sad for him to go, but maybe the man tempted fate once too often. His luck finally ran out.

As my mom likes to continue to point out, it's ironic that stingrays aren't really that dangerous. Their poison won't kill anyone. But since it stabbed him in the heart that didn't even matter. (^_^; )

It's sad he died so young. And he was an advocate for wildlife. I wasn't particularly fond of him (found him a bit annoying, even), but he wasn't a bad person. :(

I really, really liked Steve Irwin. I mean, he gets on the nerves some (when you're that enthusiastic, it's a given), but that was a lot of his charm. That he was that enthusiastic and animated.

He will be missed. I shall chase down all snakes in the future with the battlecry of, "crikey."
Yar, says I.
