Re: Questionable Business
I don't know about you but I'm going to do a quick edit to my character sheet before I start posting. I'm going to remove any possessions, such as weapons and drugs, that Justice Hall would have seized and I'm going to describe a change in wardrobe as he's no longer walking around in rags covered in his own bodily functions.
I'll be heading up to town here in a bit. I need to do some shopping and I'll be headed to a health fair, but after that I should be able to at least start a post before Craig gets home.

Ah, right. Um, also, I took several liberties with Talion. Feel free to edit my post if anything is amiss.

Re: Questionable Business
I'm reading over the "Rebellion" story line.
Re: Questionable Business
It's fine, Kat. From what I read, it seems to fit his personality that he would go off doing his own thing while Anther went exploring his old neighborhoods. Emil would have most likely told them to work together, which would force them to spend some time looking together after those first few days of recuperating.

Re: Questionable Business
Hey Michael, Frug asked us to change the drug from marijuana. He doubts it would actually be illegal in Marn, considering what a light drug it is. This is what I get for leaving it up to a dice roll
The main alternatives are either opium or astral dust, aka copiax, aka magical cocain. My vote goes to opium, because for now I'm thinkin Jac doesn't want to risk the battlemage's ire, but I ultimately leave the choice in your hands.

Re: Questionable Business
Alright, Opium it is.
I'll make the necessary altercations.
(edit) Alright I've changed it. 5 oz. of Opium. So you can get an idea of how much that is, 1 gram can do it's job 2-3 times and there's about 28 grams in an ounce. So if Jacel sells it by the gram, that's around 140-145 customers.
It's about $25 (bishani) per gram.
There's also an entire process that can convert Opium into Morphine and then from Morphine to Heroine (I had to research this part)
If Jacel wanted to get into that, it'd be extremely expensive but fun to write about.

Re: Questionable Business
I was going to comment on this after I read your post but with family over I didn't have much time to get on the computer.
I thought we had talked about it before but marijuana is legal in Marn and considering the quality of what could be grown with the technology available, the stuff that would be in circulation would not be anywhere near as strong as the stuff you might be able to buy. There's a good change it'd be seeded, cross pollinated, leafy, and if it were grown in Trelham there's a good change that it'd carry a strain of powder mold.
When taking that into consideration, the value of the drug would be significantly lower than it is today. Just in the last thirty years, the value has gone up by more than ten times of what it was because a purer, more refined product can be made.
Also, for future reference, if you want Micheal to sale marijuana, less than 1 pound isn't really a substantial amount for a dealer to have. If he had a denser variety, he could easily fit 3 pounds into something the size of a brown paper bag you might get from a grocery store.
However, opium may be a better choice as the poppy plant is quite hardy and can survive in a more diverse range of climates, it also needs much less care to receive a good final product and it's always sold for a higher price margin.

Re: Questionable Business
You did speak of it before, Niabi.
I was gone for awhile and some of the finer details of the setting slipped away from me, I apologize.
Do you feel I balanced out the Opium amount to an acceptable level?
Just got in and I've got a very early morning. Post will be up tomorrow.

Re: Questionable Business
Hey guys, I've had some rl stuff going on and it's kinda been distracting me from focusing on posts these last few weeks. I'm going to try to keep up better but for the next few weeks I may still be on the slow side. I'm really sorry for the wait.

Have a good week.

Re: Questionable Business
hey man, just letting you know you're free to have jacel or his cronies do whatever they'd normally do to anther up to and including death. Even unintentional.

Re: Questionable Business
Sorry for my long absence, but it looks like you guys have done an amazing job with the thread. Jace, I was thinking, if you wanted to, you could pull Talion into the room to find out more information from him. He's much more likely to be helpful in supplying information than Anther and he does know more about the witch, book and other crimes that went on prior to their arrest.
