A question

Post by Valz Malar » Tue Aug 15, 2006 8:12 am

So, not to sound totally inept, but when you all send PMs back and forth do you sign it with your character name, your name, a combination of the two, or not at all? I'm just curious, I feel rather odd just writing "Valz", but writing something along the lines of "Valz/Matt" just feels like I'm a flip-flopper, and as we all know, flip-floppers are no good. Or are they, maybe I'm flip flopping again??? Thoughts?

Matt...

Valz???

Matt/Valz

i dont really sign my PMs... I treat PMs like super slow Instant Messeges, which I know is something of a paradoxial description.

Yes, now that I think about it PMs have your characters name on it when you first open it. Hmmm, super slow Instant Messages, do you think that we will eventually get so used to technology that things like the mail just stop being relavant on a daily basis?

well you need mail to send material things, even small ones, and there's something more intimate about a hand written letter if you're the romantic sort. If snail mail ever vanishes it'll be a long time from now.

I don't sign my PMs either but that question is more general than just PMs. What do you call people, their pseudonym or their real name? Frug is fine for me, it's a nickname offline. I'd say if you're going to sign something though, use your real name.

Speaking of PMs, make sure your popup blocker is set to allow them from http://www.tharshaddin.com. The only popups we have are PM notifications.
