Re: Two and a Half Women
Alright, so do you think we might need to add a third character to the mix, to liven things up a bit? Or are you happy with the struggle of integrating two characters who might become friends, complete with awkward pauses and hard to right scenes?
Or, we can decide where we want them to go, and how we can get them there, as well. It is early evening, so it would be feasible that one or the other would have to head off to bed, and they could agree to meet up again the next day or some such.
What do you think?

Re: Two and a Half Women
I wouldn't mind adding some action, be it a third character or some kind of incident. Or both. Do you have something specific in mind?

Re: Two and a Half Women
I hope I am not breaking protocol by writing in your discussion here, but I thought I might offer an idea.
Cairn might be an event to start up some action, but I am unsure if it would be wise to approach so large a city with what basically most people would consider a monster. I thought initially about having him approach Shim and allow rumors to float towards the bright lights of the big city of a wandering troll (hopefully pacified/employed/enslaved by then).

Ooh, a troll!
I guess we can come up with an excuse to end up outside of the city? Whaddaya think, Aura?
Also, welcome to the forums, Cairn!

Thanks! Just let me know if there is anything in particular you want to aim for (a certain direction for the plot) or if we just want to just fly by the seat of our pants.

Re: Two and a Half Women
I could see Aura befriending a troll, not knowing much about the usual denizens of the place. She would need to be out in Shim, or along the road to Shim, perhaps. I forget how long of a journey it is to Shim.
Perhaps Breda and Aura decide to meet the next day and make the journey to Shim, and discover Cairn there? I think it would be neat to play Aura hanging out with a troll.

Sure. No pressure. I figure I will probably have Cairn in a couple of outdoor threads before he heads into the city.

Re: Two and a Half Women
Sounds like a plan to me! After Aura's tale, I'd assume Breda would be interested enough to visit Shim.

Re: Two and a Half Women
There, I built in a reason for Aura and Breda to go visit Shim tomorrow. Maybe Cairn can be waiting at the shack, or nearby, while the girls are visiting. Aura will ask Breda while they're out walking if she wants to visit Shim tomorrow since Aura is off work tomorrow.

Cairn, I noticed that you've started another thread. Do you want us to join that one, or shall we wait until you're finished?

Re: Two and a Half Women
I don't mind either way, really. I left the location really vague just to be safe. Joining the 'Not Lost' thread will give you a chance to meet Kelishtav, but if you need a more specific location (i.e. another thread) I can join that one too.
I'm flexible and don't mind either one.

Re: Two and a Half Women
I think we'll start our own new thread, as I think Breda and Aura will be doing some talking on the way to Shim as well. Give us a few more posts after this little fight scene and we'll get that started. Say a week or two. Gives you and Kelishtav some time to get to know each other too.
Breda: The reference to 'Snyde' is to Dominic Snyde, an extremely evil, sadistic, little bastard of a man who runs the seedy side of the Shanty Town Market, and one that is my guilty pleasure to play as an NPC. This link will take you to the first (and only, I think) thread in which Snyde appears. If you're faint of heart, don't read it, as it's pretty graphic in parts.

Quite a lovely fellow you've got there.
