Name:Alexxander Myrs
Alias:Alexx
Height:5'11
Weight:140 LBS
Age: 250
Race: Werewolf

Physical Description: Black hair that is very greasy, it always appears wet. His eyes are hazel, and his nose is short and thin. He has thin lips. His cheekbones budlge out from his face. Alexx looks very much like a stick. In fact, he has always looked like a stick. He could pick up a house, do five hundred reps for months, and still look like a stick. Because of this, he is often underestimated. He wears tan clothes and black shoes, all with multiple rips. A scar, just above the right eye, tells of a harsh background. How did he get this? He doesn't tell a soul, but he didn't have that good of a childhood. A birthmark on his right arm-hidden by his shirt-reveals his identity, because it appears to be a crescent moon.
When he transforms, he is a large black wolf. The birthmark is still there, but on his forehead. When he transforms to the state in the middle, not human but not yet wolf, he becomes a very muscular wolf standing at a height of 6'2.
Possessions: A bronze longsword, small and sturdy, which he uses mostly to defend himself and attack quickly. He has a pack slung over his shoulder all the time, which contains food, drink, and money. Usually at nights he'll stay in an inn.

Powers or Strengths: He is trained with his sword, and is a good carpenter. He is fairly intelligent. His capability to make good decisions in harsh conditions has kept him alive for such a long time. Thanks to it-as far as he knows- no one in Marn knows he is a werewolf.
He is loyal. If you do earn his trust, he'll stick with you. He's a good ally to have.
Courageous. Alexx's life has forced him to beccome a courageous person. If he was easily frightened, he'd still be stuck with his father.

Magic - None besides being able to change to a werewolf, and all the goodies that come along with that.

Weaknesses and Flaws: Not very athletic or strong when human. He is passive aggressive, meaning he doesn't fight unless completely and totally necessary. This could be a strength or a weakness, depending what situation.
Scared of human interaction. He is a shy person, untrusting. This is all thanks to his dad. Of course he'll interact with you, but rarely trust you.
Asthma. What? Asthma? With a werewolf character? How will that work? Yes, he has asthma. Yet another thing that makes him less athletic, since no inhalers have been invented. However, when he goes wolf, his asthma disappears.
Silver, obviously.
Drinking problem. Get him drunk. You'll find out about everything. Likely even the fact that he's a werewolf. Even how old he is. Then, you could easily kill him.
Frightened easily by creatures bigger than regular sized wolves.
Obsessed with revenge. (Explained in history.)

History:“Daddy, Daddy!” Alexx hollered and jumped up in his dad’s arms. “I missed you!” He said. His dad dropped him, letting him land in the field. “Grow up kid.” He said, burped, and walked over to the house. “Where’s mah baby?” He asked, referring to Alexx’s mom. Alexx was seven. He rubbed the scar over his eye. The scar he had received from his father when he was five, on one of his father’s drunken escapades. Though Alexx was young, he wasn’t stupid. He knew what his father wanted his “baby” for. Alexx fought tears. Mom really has terrible man choosing skills.
Ten Years Later
Alexx sanded the leg of a chair to near perfection. The fourth leg. He was finally done. His dad came into the shop and ripped the chair from his son’s hand. “I better get some real money for this, you lazy punk! That last one made me want to kill you myself. Your mother would be-“ Alexx jumped to his feet. “You shutup! Don’t talk about her! You killed her, you bastard, why not me??” His dad back handed him to the ground. Alexx rubbed his cheek. “I’ll be back tonight, and we’ll talk about your terrible behavior.” He walked away, carrying the chair and spitting curses.

Later that Night
Micheal stumbled through the open door, drunk off his head once again. He was going to kill his son, just like he had that ungrateful wife of his. He found the kid, that lazy kid, sitting at the table and eating. He hadn’t even bothered to make his own father a meal! Micheal grabbed Alexx’s hair, and dragged him out to the shop. He threw him to the floor, and ordered him to wait.
Micheal turned and went back to his room. Once in, he took the bronze longsword his father had given to him from its position, a rack on the other side of the room. He laughed and went back to the shop to find his son wasn’t there. “Son of a-“

Alexx growled. Huh? Yes he had…he had growled. He looked down at his hands. His nails had grown, long and sharp. Hair had grown literally all over his body, and the moon birthmark was now on his forehead. He looked around. He had gone into a tunnel, which led to a room under the basement. The door to the tunnel opened, and his dad walked into the room. “I knew it!” Micheal screamed, raising his sword. “You’re a beast, like your mother!” He swung the sword at his son, slicing his stomach open.
Alexx prepared himself for death, but it didn’t come. The pain, burning pain, ceased. The cut in his stomach was there, but not deep. The sword hadn't cut into his stomach deeply. Alexx realized this, threw his head back, and he laughed. It was a hoarsey laugh, barely a laugh, but a laugh all the same. He turned his head back to his dad, and roared. He grabbed his head in both hands, and tugged it off his shoulders. He dropped it to the floor, and the hair receeded into his body. His nails shortened, his arms and legs became sticks again. He was now in nothing, his body bare. He ran to his father’s room, grabbed some clothes, and went back to his room to get his pack. He was leaving, finally escaping. It was over.

Five Years Later
Alexx laid his pack on a table in the kitchen. He pulled a large chunk of meat from the pack, and laid it on the table. “Alexis.” He called. He turned his head to look at the stairs as his beautiful wife came down from her room, smiling. Her smile, to him, was like the sun reflecting on an ocean. She had beautiful black hair, and a deep tan. They met with a kiss, and Alexis smiled wider. “Did you catch dinner for us?” She asked. Alexx smiled, nodding. He motioned towards the meat and said, “You just gotta cook it.” Alexis laughed. “I wish I could’ve came with you. I haven’t hunted in quite a long time.” She said.
“Well, you can come next time. You haven’t forgotten how to change have you?” He joked. She smiled, and her teeth sharpened. “Of course not.” She said. Alexx glared at her as she grabbed the meat from the table. He was so lucky to have found another werewolf so soon after he had ran from home. Now he lived here, a couple miles outside of Thar Shaddin. Alexx had ran across her one day, and she had threaten to kill him if he didn’t give her his pack. Alexx had transformed, and when she did too, they became allies. Soon after words they fell in love, and had a beautiful baby boy. He was asleep at the moment, Lark was his name.

Alexx turned and began to head up the stairs. “I’m going to wake that lazy kid up. I haven’t seem him in a few days.” Alexx went to Lark’s room to find him in his bed, sleeping calmly. Alexx crept over and pulled him up, tickled him on the ribs. Lark shook himself awake, and stared up into his father’s eyes. He had his mother’s eyes. His mother’s beautiful green eyes. “I can’t believe your sleepin’, kid!” He said. Lark smiled toothlessly. He was only one, after all.
“Dinner will be ready soon.” Alexx told Lark. Lark smiled again. Alexx turned, sun on his shoulder, and went back down stairs. “Hey Alexx,” Alexis said. “Yes?” He asked, setting his boy down. “What’s wrong?” She replied, “I need you to go into the small village a few miles east and get me some clothes. You ruined my old ones in our last…adventure.” She winked at him, and he grinned. “Yeah, yeah. I’ll be back soon.” He got the gold coins from his pack, kissed his wife on the cheek, and headed out of the door.

He hiked from his house to the village uneventfully. Once there he went to a trader and bought some clothes that he though Alexis would like. He stuck around for another hour, drinking just a bit. Not enough to get him drunk but just enough for him to get a little buzzed. As he left the village he was thinking about the night he would have. Alexis seemed in the mood to him. Good, cause so was he.
He looked u from staring at his feet ten minutes later to see a ball of fire on the horizon. “No. No. God, no.” He roared up at the sky and transformed into a wolf. He bounded towards the ball of flames that he just knew was his house.

As he came up close he saw trolls swinging clubs at another wolf, who was fighting rather valiantly. Alexx howled, and she replied. Her howl was a scared one. He didn’t see his son anywhere. He bounded forward to assist her when his house gave way, falling between him and his wife. He watched in horror as she twisted and bit, although Alexx knew she couldn’t last long. There was just too many damned trolls. One of them snuck behind her with a club, and brought it down on her spine. Alexx heard a crack, and his wife fell to the ground. The trolls dragged her body off into the night, leaving Alexx howling in agony.
That morning
Alexx awoke in human form infront of his destroyed home. It couldn’t have happened again, no. He couldn’t start over all again. He had finally settled down! His life, back on track! He had a son, a beautiful wife. Now they were both gone. Those trolls. The trolls! They had to pick his home. His home, when he wasn’t even around to defend it. They had likely torn his wife’s corpse to pieces, just ripped it apart and eaten it. He would kill them. He would hunt down every troll in this world and rip them apart.
He thought of his son and his wife. He had to sit there and watch Alexis die. What about Lark. Was he alive? Alexx had never seen a body, therefore couldn’t accept that all of his family was dead. Maybe, just maybe, his son had escaped. He would find Lark, would never believe Lark was dead until he saw a body. Or unless Alexx died. But, what would he do now? His home was gone, and he didn’t have anyone to move in with. No one in the village to the east would take him in, he knew that without asking.

His only chance was to go to Marn, just south of where he lived. He picked his pack off from the ground, pulled some clothes out, and slipped them on. After he was descent, and mentally prepared for the journey, he started on his way.

During the trip there, nothing much happened. Except for a small fight with a hunter on the edge of Thar Shaddin. Gaining entrance to the city was easy. He literally walked right in. They weren’t very strict about allowing newcomers, he was told, but they were strict about newcomers that didn’t have any sense. After Alexx had ensured them he had sense, he was allowed in.

Alexx lived in an inn in Marn for many years after that. He worked at the inn, repairing and building things, in return for a living. He enjoyed his life. He never again developed a romance with another human being, and made friends only with the innkeepers that would come and go over the years, and a young man that would visit the inn regularly. The reason no one said anything about Alexx was because every human lifetime or so, he would change his name and appearance. No one ever caught on.

One night, when Alexx was about two hundred years old, a large adventurer stalked into the bar. He stomped over to the counter and ordered an ale. A second ale. Then a third. Fairly soon the man was so drunk he could barely stay seated in his chair. He began talking about things from women to war, when he noticed Alexx working on a table.
“Hey, kid, you know how to handle that sword?” He asked. Alexx’s current look, the one with the greasy black hair, did make him look young. Alexx sighed, stood up, and turned to face the man. “Fairly well, yes sir.” Alexx told the man politely. When he tried to go back to his work, the man grabbed his collar and tossed him back. His head slammed into the counter. He didn’t realized what was happening as hair began growing on his feet. It grew up his leg, and up, up, up. He was just about to go completely wolf when the guards broke in. They grabbed the man, dragged him outside.
Alexx sighed with relief as hair disappeared once again into his body. The innkeeper dusted him off, shook his head toward the door. “Happens every once in a while. You alright?” Alexx nodded. “Yeah…I’d like to get to sleep though.” The innkeeper nodded in understanding.

Forty Years Later
Alexx walked through the streets towards the gates of the city of Marn. He had the itch, and he had it bad. It had been almost fifty years since he had gone wolf, and he needed to go hunting. Now. Luckily, today the innkeeper didn’t have many jobs for him to do.
As he exited the city, he crossed the bridge across the Orifyu Mar and disappeared into the forest. He had left his pack in his room in the inn, just in case he might loose it out in the woods. He stripped off his clothes, threw him over a branch, and switched over to the full wolf phase. He smiled and bounded deeper into the woods. It was about time. He felt so free. He stopped and sniffed, and an elk bounded past him.

Welcome to Thar and thank you for submitting a character. I have a few questions and suggestions regarding your character.

First of all, I would like to see the strengths and weaknesses sections expanded in greater detail. Also, on that note, I would like to see the history expanded to represent more of his life. Your character will be one of the oldest characters on our site and to me it feels life your character has lived a couple of lifetimes already with only a few significant events happening. I'm not saying that you have to tell me everything he has done, but I would hope that he had been up to something in the hundred year gaps in his history.

I wanted to ask about your character's ability to heal himself. You wrote:
He swung the sword at his son, slicing his stomach open.
Alexx prepared himself for death, but it didn’t come. The pain, burning pain, ceased. The cut in his stomach healed up, and he laughed.
By this, I get the impression that Alexx healed almost instantly from a wound that would have killed him. It is true in our setting that some shifters (mostly werewolves) have a faster than normal rate of healing, but we have taken that to mean that an injury that may normally take days to heal might heal in one day or that a small cut that may take days to heal might heal in a few hours.

Also, you repeatedly called the city of Marn as the city of Mar.

Gosh, Alexx. Marn, it's Marn, silly!

And, I kinda thought werewolfs did heal instantly from weapons not made of silver. However, I'll gladly change it. Also, I take care of that silly mistake with the city of Marn.

History...I thought I might have to. Kinda hoped I could slip by, but nope! I'll get to work on that.

Umm....well, I turn fifteen tomorrow. I just read the 16-18 thing. CRAP. Does that mean I have to leave? I mean, my parents don't care about violence or curses. Of course I can't get very deep in the sex talk, but as long as I don't read it it doesn't matter does it?

Thanks for reviewing me.

Unfortunately 16 is the cutoff. This is one of those things I try to be flexible about, because I appreciate your honesty about your age, however I have to stress that it's not appropriate for you to be posting here and I must recommend you to another site until you're 16.

We can make an exception, as I'm inclined to do about all our rules. I will ask. But I can't promise everyone will agree, and I may need written consent from your parents.

Okay. Like I said, I'm sure my parents won't care. I've watched all kinds of movies with violence and cuss words right infront of them and they don't care. Like I also said, my mom doesn't really like sex (talk), but there can't be a whole whole lot of that.

Do you want me to get them to send you a PM?

Ok I've had some discussions with others and unfortunately we're not prepared to bend that rule at the moment.

I still thank you for your honesty, and welcome you back in the future should you drop by in a year or two. I can highly recommend unicorns visions as a place that is stable and very accepting.

I have known them for several years and can say they are a good place.

Thanks for your understanding.
