Age: 29
Race: Elf
Height: 6’1”
Physical Description
Although she likes to think otherwise, Arusa is not the most attractive girl. She is tall and pale, with hazel eyes and dark hair reaching down to her waist. Most of the time she wears her hair in a loose plait, and she can almost always be seen wearing some kind of makeup, generally quite overdone.
She wears a warm woollen cloak over long skirts and often a variety of rings and bracelets. Standing still, she mostly seems odd, but she moves gracefully and is a talented dancer. She is very fit, from all the dancing, and she also has a slightly crooked smile.

Personality
If you were to attempt to describe Arusa’s personality in one word, the most accurate to use would likely be ‘vanity’. To her own eyes, she is the most beautiful woman alive; not to mention, the most talented dancer, the most intelligent person, almost completely faultless.
Obviously, this is completely inaccurate and she is completely delusional. Most people simply avoid her, unable to tolerate her arrogance, but of course, she simply dismisses it as envy. After all, people love her performances; it’s simply up close they seem to have a problem.
Fortunately, Arusa doesn’t mind spending time alone, thinking that she is, of course, too good for the company of most, whether they wish to be around her or not. She spends much time reading and admiring herself, practicing her dancing, arguing with people about how terribly wrong they always are.
She also spends her time looking for a man worthy of love, preferably someone rich, handsome, intelligent, funny, romantic... almost as faultless as she is, basically. She is a terrible flirt and thinks that all the men want nothing but to spend their lives with her. In reality, most would rather fight a troll than spend a day with her.
She is very careful about what she eats,
Oh, she also loves colourful/shiny things, the reason for her love of jewellery, particularly rings with colourful gemstones.
Possessions
Her jewellery, clothing and mirrors are the most important things she owns.
Strengths
She is an excellent dancer, her movements truly beautiful. This is how she makes a living, dancing at various establishments for an almost unreasonable fee. It actually pays quite well.
She knows a fair deal about the worth of gemstones and jewellery.
Weaknesses
Arusa is has deluded herself into thinking that she is somehow superior to most other people, that she is always right, and if it is proven otherwise, the blame is put on someone else for it. She completely believes everything she says, and this can get her into a lot of trouble, considering that, in general, she really isn’t that great at all.
She often spends too much on things like jewellery, and has a lot of trouble passing an interesting piece, especially if it seems like a bargain.
History
There’s not a whole lot to say about Arusa’s life, and most of it has already been mentioned. She was born and raised in the elven city of Guang Wan, an only child. Her mother and father worked quite average jobs – her father a fisherman, her mother a midwife and a seamstress – and were often busy, leaving her to make trouble for herself, for attention and for entertainment.
Along with many other young elven girls where she lived, she was taught to dance as a child, mostly elven dances originating from Darleone Island [similar to Spanish dances, such as flamenco]. Where most simply considered it a hobby or exercise, however, she found that she had great talent, enough so to lead her to pursue it professionally.
At fifteen, she fell in love with a boy four years older than her. He was her mother’s best friend’s son and he worked with Arusa’s father, so they spent quite a lot of time together. She never confessed her feelings for him, but he was always there for her when she needed him. She was often bullied throughout her childhood and adolescence, and he would always tell her things like, “They only do it because they’re jealous,” and “Don’t listen to them. You’re worth ten times what they are.”
She believed every word.
And when it got to the point where she decided even he wasn’t good enough for her, when his weaknesses began to show and her childish infatuation disappeared, along with any feelings she’d had for the boy at all, only her ridiculous feelings of superiority remained.
By the time she was eighteen, he meant nothing to her, and neither did anyone else, apart from her parents. Even if she loved them, however, they were still inferior, blessed to be given such a miracle for a daughter, and should be ever thankful. If they’d ever decided to treat her as anything but their sweet, lovely, perfect daughter, Arusa would have turned on them without a second thought.
Over the past nine years, she has concentrated mainly on her dancing. She began travelling at twenty, first only locally, but as time goes on, she is becoming more and more well-known. She wouldn’t be surprised if they’d heard of her in Setkhantos, although in reality, she’s not that famous even in Eyropa. In Tian Xia, however, she is one of the most popular entertainers around.
