Legend without a name plot discussion

Location: In The Woods section

Summary: This journey starts with my character doing something very unusual for him, interacting with others. Its a situation that he is forced into and not to his liking. This thread is set to change dynamically with every new player and new plot ideas are always welcome. This thread is initially to help develop my character a little further and gain a little understanding of him however after the initial setup of the characters and the role they are to play this could turn into a very freeform thread, but ive got a nice little twist waiting for anyone who wants to play

Other Notes: Open to plot suggestions and for those who want to actively develop their characters further and to meet my character Wolftear, form an alliance and engage in some awesome writing!

Hey guys now the threads pretty much up and running its up to you guys to make your introductory posts about your character before we can properly start off the story so get posting!

Put anything here that you want to see included and ill eventually post some things i want to see happening as the story progresses

Hey Wolf I'm going to edit your first post to add the plot discussion format to it and then you can edit it and fill in the information. This makes it easier for people to see what is going on right from the beginning.

Ok, so were about to get our characters meeting soon. What sort of initial direction do you guys want the story to take, bearing in mind ill be introducing my NPC character soon just to let you know, as far as im concerned i dont mind what we get up to in the next few posts, let something unfold about your characters, develop a little for a while, get to know each other in game etc?

I'm thinking that Nia will hide out in the woods and spy on the others until she feels safe enough to come out and introduce herself. She is rather shy when she is outnumbered by humans and she will want to make sure that they aren't going to all attack her at once. When she does choose to make herself known, she might try to befriend Wolf as he looks like a wolf and she most likely will mistake him as a shifter.

sounds good. i think it would be an interesting approach to maybe mistake you for a normal deer, attempt to sneak up on you to hunt you, of course you either spot me or some other event causes you to shift and startle me, for now you can avoid us tho. find out what we are up too etc

Well that would be interesting but Nia already shifted into a woman and is hiding in the trees.

I was thinking that Alistair will probably want to know more about the symbol from his history which I intend to link to a crime syndicate based out of Marn if that can fit into the story line at all.

I want to apologize that I took so long to get a post up for you guys, I'll try harder to keep up on my posting better and not fall behind like that again, if I can avoid it.

I left Wolf a PM to ask if he is still with us. I haven't seen him or heard from him so I don't know if he is busy or what but hopefully we will hear back from him soon.

Wolf said in chat that he wants to talk plot discussion so that we can get this thread going and get past simple introductions and get into the real meat of the story. Like I've said before, I think Nia will be real hesitant to trust Alistair as he is human but she may take a liking to Wolf as he looks as if he could be a shifter and I think it may take her a while to figure out the truth. As far as a plot goes, she really just wants to see the woods safe and free of humans.

Alistair in general is very distrusting and since wolf has been showing him alot of hostility and of yet has offered him nothing tangible in return for his services he is less likely to help him. At the end of the day Alistair will only do something if he sees a benefit for himself. As he will say in next post threatening him will only reduce the chances of him helping... I am sorry if I am coming off as difficult but I cannot see as of yet Alistair joining with wolf without compromising his character. I do want to join still but you can see how Alistair wouldn't trust an obviously broke wild man to pay him especially after statements like "You will have nothing of mine, because it is mine and not yours". Alistairs main motivation is greed and finding out more about dagger and wing neither option is being presented to him and he really doesn't care about other people.

on the other hand Naibi has shown herself to be very cautious and in Alistairs mind that goes hand in hand with calculating so curiosity alone about her "true" motives may draw him towards her.

So Wolf, what were your plot ideas? I know you have that npc you want to bring in and I know you want your character to get back that book of his but did you have other plans on top of that?

Ok so to get tho plot more focused, Ill give a little of what ive been thinking, sorry to not post sooner but been playing with some ideas for a few days and wanted to sort things out.

I think a reluctant relationship is on the cards with alisdair would be very good and keep things interesting. Remember, i may not have offered you anything but that does not mean you cant necessarily see potential, remember im a very skilled woodsman, have many abilities and ways of getting things done that your character might not be able to achieve easily on your own, so think of your own reasons why you could make use of the Wolf, ill leave that up to you, but think how a sort of love hate relationship can keep things pretty upbeat and maybe even a little comical if we can play off each other.

As far as the Deer is concerned im interested in seeing a sort of bond of nature develop, how that can pan out can be interesting.

Im going to introduce my npc soon however first id like for all of us to meet properly and for some reason have to camp the night together (hunted by the Dragonetti etc) in which we can converse in a more, nor hostile stiuation.

What do you guys think?

Sounds good, I think a hostile friendship is a good idea, and at this point a common enemy is probably the best way to link us all together. Alistair in general is distrusting and a bit hostile with people he doesn't know so I think our group enemy should join soon in order to prevent him from leaving the situation which he is trusting less and less.
