Awww *hugs the Nia*

Hectic work week around here. I've caught up for Nora, but I promise I won't leave you guys hanging. Once I get a good night's sleep, expect my next post for Yyan tomorrow morning.

Don't worry, I haven't forgotten that it's my turn. Work been hectic again lately, but more than that... we seem to have hit a brick wall. We're all waiting for someone else to come up with the group's robbery plan. Now it's come back around to me, and honestly I have no idea what to do.

Maybe we need to get together via chat or PM sometime and puzzle this out. Or if you give me a little extra time, I could prolly come up with SOMETHING, just dunno how good it will be.

What do you guys think?

Well for one thing I think the robbery needs to take place at night, not only will it be dark but there will be less people around and probably less guards on duty as who would expect that people would actually be breaking into Justice Hall? With it being nightfall, I'm sure our thieves can sneak around in the shadows with at least a little bit of skill and Tal has his whole shadowy cloaking thing that he could use. I'm thinking the door on the place might be magically sealed what with it being Porter's home and all but with a few characters that have some magical powers, we should be able to have somebody unlock the door. Yyan could always use his powers to distract the guards with his ability to yell at them and send them off in the wrong direction and then we would just be left to navigating the maze that Porter will undoubtedly set up to throw us off track.

All sounds fine with me! I'm in a bit of a hectic period... suddenly I have a bunch of stuff due very soon, I've no idea how that happened. I'll be online and post and all, but if there's a day delay or so in my response time, that's why.

I don't see why a door would prove a problem with so many awesome/magical people around. Once inside, however... the maze will be fun stuff.

Phew, I was worried I'd have to come up with something on the fly, and well, um. . .I have no confidence in my planning abilities. >> I like Nia's idea a lot. Plus, if they run into guards that um. . .shouldn't be magicked/bludgeoned into unconsciousness Sagath can smooth the way.

I agree, I like Nia's idea. So here's another question. Do y'all want Yyan to be the one who suggests it, just so we can keep the plot moving? Initially I was uncomfortable with the idea, since it's not strictly in-character for him to come up with something like this, nor do I want to take credit for Nia's idea. But also don't want you guys to get bored.

A possible compromise. Yyan spent some time inside Justice Hall when he was first brought to Marn. I'll have to pin down the Frugster and pick his brain about exactly what he was likely to encounter there, but once I've got that, then Yyan can let the group know what little he remembers. Then next post, Nia can present the ideas she already gave via Talion.

Okay, you can either let Rue be the bait or not, it doesn't matter to me. I've got a few other ideas, but that's the most Tsai thing to suggest--throwing the one she doesn't like to the guards, after dismantling her vocal chords so she can't take. I do have a back-up if you're not good with that, though, it doesn't make a difference to me.
don't even think about stealing from me.

Anther would object if he knew about the vocal chord thing, but since he doesn't and he's terrified -- he won't dare object. Sagath doesn't care one way or another, as he's assuming Yoger will be back at their hole to guard it while they're away.

So, go for it.

I thought I would read over the Porter again, to check for anything I might be missing and I realized that Justice Hall and the power within it is sealed off from the outside world. Tal could try to sifen this power from the outside but he would not be able to access it. He will need to be inside and have a physical link to the power, even if it is just a wall, in order to take some of it.

I know this changes some of our plans but I think we should go ahead with what we have planned because nobody would know that the power is trapped within the building unless they tried to access it and failed.

Alrighty, one long overdue post down.

Once again, I am very sorry about the months-long wait. I liked this thread very much and was curious to see where it would go. But I realize that interest may have been lost in it while waiting for me to get my ass in gear. If that's the case, then we can discontinue and move on. If not, then you can definitely count on me not to hold things up to this degree again.

Nope, I'm still rarin' to go. Tsai's been created exactly for this purpose, a brainchild of too much time in the cold and cooped up in Russia, and I'm excited.

Don't sweat it about the wait, we know real life gets in the way. Err, something like that...
