Sorry it took me so long to reply. I've been trying to figure out a way to say this and not come across as a bitch.

I thought both the NPC's and Aura had clear goals in mind, and Zou was the person who was going to help them with these goals. Koloque and Naris need help discovering what their book will do, and Zou seems to have unique knowledge about at least some of what was mentioned in the book.

Aura needs to find her way back to her own world, or, bar that, at least come to terms with living in a world of magic where not of it touches her.

Is the thread not exciting enough? Have you lost interest? Personally, I think that character development should take precedence over exciting fight scenes, and the way we are going about this thread is a great way to help our characters grow, even the character without the agenda(s) being followed.

However, that being said, if you want to kill off your character or have him leave the plot, then I understand. I don't know if it's real life issues or the fact that you have too many characters that are affecting your ability to play and post here, but you need to remember that it affects us, as well. Real life is understandable.

Either way, let's make a decision and move forward, because I only have one character, and it's tied up in this dying thread.

Well, yes, there was some real life stuff for a while there. I almost got kicked out of the country. Now, my muse is back, and I have ample time in which to post, but my problem with this thread has always been that, quite frankly, it's just boring as all hell. It has nothing to do with whose agenda is being followed, or the fact that there aren't enough "fight scenes". It was boring as hell back when Zou had the spotlight, and it continues to be boring as hell, because nothing has happened, then or since. I didn't want to be a dick and say that, but there it is. I honestly don't think our characters have a particularly good dynamic, and it's probably better to just make the necessary changes, and get on with it, instead of flogging a dead horse.

It's not anybody's fault, it's just that some character or writer combinations make a good story, and some don't. And I'm really, really, really tired of trying to make this work. It's seriously frustrating. So within the next two days, expect a post in which Zou meets a grisly end, because I'm outta this thread. After that, feel free to auto the hell out of everything related to Zou, I don't mind at all. Violate his corpse, burn his house down, do what you have to do.

Hmm... where to start on this one...

I am inclined to agree with Joe on the boring-ness of the thread, unfortunately. I couldn't see it going anywhere with Lo'en, which is why she left, but I felt bad about abandoning ship so I forced the introduction of Naris and Kol. While I had always planned on bringing these cats into play at some point, this was sooner than anticipated.

The thread has felt a more than a little forced at parts, which, as Joe pointed out, is no one person's specific fault. As I've stated before, Naris and Kol are really nothing more than NPC's to me at this point, and although my other threads are almost dead, I don't have much time to spend spinning them up into real characters. Eventually I want them to meet up with Lo'en but not anytime soon.

Aura, if you feel like you want to pursue this storyline and drive it, my two are available. I don't necessarily think they don't mix with your character- I think we could make it work, but you'd have to do a lot of the directing.

Well, I'm leaving the thread. I was enjoying the downplayed interaction between the people, assuming that once they left the house, which they were getting ready to do, things would likely pick up.

However, I guess that's not happening, so I had to take drastic measures to get my character out of a failing thread. Thanks for the RP, and talk to you soon.

Oh well. I'll eventually get a Kol/Naris response up, but don't wait for me.
