Hello Everyone. My name is Twitch. well at least thats my most common nickname, something about too much caffeine freshman year of college. Right now im finishing up my senior year at an engineering school, and looking to graduate and get a job.

I have been taking part in internet role playing games for... well about 4 or 5 years now. Everything from high fantasy to sci-fi, to horror and steam punk. have always had a blast with it, however every game I have been a part of has ultimately died from a lack of membership or interest, which has been quite sad over the years.

I just posted my character application last night. So I am waiting to get it approved and start playing. Theo is your typical half-elf out for revenge. Not the nicest character, but at the same time, you kind of need to malicious to cause some problems for the rest.

And if you are not a fan of D&D I am curious as to why, but of course, to each their own opinions. I know some are not fond of the binding rules, some as to the limited RP there can be in lacking groups (which have been most of the ones I've been in unfortunately), etc.

Rules heavy, skimpy on social rules (one stat, charisma, to describe a character's social abilities) but heavy on combat rules. The existence of classes. Rules that are easy to abuse, hard to start with. It's always ended up being dice and rules heavy. But I've always butted heads with people here who do like D&D, like Mina, Kamar...

And as weird as this sounds, take a look at the book of Erotic Fantasy sometime, it actually adds more to social interactions like an appearance stat and such.

WoD has manipulation, appearance and charisma. No classes. Simple combat rules that are usually impossible to abuse.

I actually wrote up some rules for using the WoD rules to play Thar Shaddin based characters. Works quite well. Didn't take long to do either. Maybe a few hours. Had a test game with it that went well, but it's hard to find RPers.
