hehe, I think we've all been lost for a while now, and Gizmo certainly has a way of demagnetizing the compass. It might calm down if I make a graceful exit here...

Re: A Curious Troupe
We now have tentative plan, we're just waiting on the final agreements from all concerned parties.
It's looking like Merc and Geld are going to head off to the theatre, or wherever it is they are going. The logical route is to include Garf in this group, as he is supposed to be 'hunting' a fairy. That will give you guys a plot.
Myllis will be hooking up Cam, Ree, and Mei, although I'm not sure how exactly that it going to play out yet.
That leaves only Gizmo, who, as mentioned, can be tough to fit in, although Joe's writing of the character certainly does makes us all laugh (laugh, bitches, I command you), and thus I would hate to eliminate him from the plots altogether...
Anyone want to start throwing out ideas on exactly how to work this split-up. Here's all I've been able to come up with so far.
Garf leaves to supposedly inform the guards about Gizmo, but Myllis gets bad vibes from him and decides to split off from Merc and Geld so as to follow Garf. In short, she would be concerned about him pulling something sneaky like 'selling' his knowledge about the faerie to the guards. Because Geld simply transforming forms is considered magical use and thus illegal, correct? Garf could then double around so as to catch Merc and Geld off-guard (since he's trying to catch the fae), and meanwhile, Myllis, who is following him, gets delayed by her brush-in with Cam. Or something.

Re: A Curious Troupe
Just to put in my two cents, I have no problem with Gizmo heading to the theater with Geld and Merc. Geld wants him to play the moon, after all.

Re: A Curious Troupe
I would enjoy that. but also, it's no stress if convenient plans dictate that I must shuffle Gizmo to the side for a time. I mean, I have seven other characters to keep me amused too

Re: A Curious Troupe
Wow - how complicated! I'm glad my character is pukey so she can simply go to the theatre.
I mean, what better place to hide a winged fairy than a place full of weirdos? I wonder if there's an equivalent for "Midsummer Night's Dream" in Thar....
Not sure where we'll go afterwards either...will have to think on this.

Re: A Curious Troupe
More than likely there would be plays of a very similar nature, but if you do decide to go about describing a play in any detail, which could be pretty cool to write, there are some themes that would likely crop up. Things like:"I wonder if there's an equivalent for "Midsummer Night's Dream" in Thar..."
Elves leaving their homeland to find a new world full of promise.
The evil and perils of toying with magic.
A noble, insular people fighting against the perils of the world around them.
Finding and rescuing a magical creature, like a fairy, and learning to accept her flaws (that she's magical).
Religious plays about the changers' war and Theogios.

So guys... how are we breaking this up?

Re: A Curious Troupe
Well it's kinda up to you which group you want to party up with, but the plan was merc/gizmo/geld to go to the theatre, and myllis/garfane to head in the direction of shim to meet up with cam/ree/mei

Re: A Curious Troupe
I dunno what's planned for the theatre, but I'll say now that I'll set up some form of adventure for the folks in shim.
I think I may revive a little storyline from way back when Thar was first started. Mmm, zombies and necromancers.

Re: A Curious Troupe
So, I've been outlining my post in my head (mental rough draft?) and have some good ideas but am stuck at one part... Shall I write in an opening for Merc and Geld to go to the theatre. Nothing too exciting and fancy, but I could at least get you ladies moving in the right direction. Maybe we can catch each other on chat.

Re: A Curious Troupe
Sure thing - Merc would just throw up her hands and head to the theatre. Right now it's the only thing that's familiar, so it's closer to being "safe". Feel free to ditch wherever.

Dibble poast.
Anyhou, it kinda just ends because I figure Gelden might have something to say about "boring". Just for kicks. If not...I'm good at talking to myself.
"Did you see the football game today?"
"No I didn't, did you?"
"Sadly no, though I heard that the Eskimos beat the Blue Bombers. The ESKIMOS."
"Can you believe it? Never tell an Edmontonite that it can't be done."
"Tell me about it. You know, I haven't heard much from the Oilers as of late."
"Same here - guess they are on the down and out."
"Much like CSI."
"Very much like CSI! Oh ho!"
"I think I would be more than happy to see Miami go."
"And be replaced with something good like "Pushing Daisies"."
"Yeah! I can never find out when it's on - and when I do, it's usually on a channel I don't get."
"How frustrating. It's such a great show."
"That Kristen Chenoweth cracks me up."
"She's from "Wicked" right?"
"Yes! Oh, I love that musical!"
"ME TOO! Fancy that!"
etc. etc.
