Seeing as Feras is an apprentice blacksmith and I've been writing about an NPC blacksmith, Feras is more than welcome to be Kel's apprentice. See the "... nein" thread in Downtown & Business District. I've given an outline (I think) of Kel, his personality, and his family. Have at and NPC them all you'd like.
Otherwise, there's a blacksmithing spider that lives in the sewers...
Long story short, that's an invite to help you get started in the setting if you haven't already.
Find a reason for Feras to do some work on Metarie's house. She'd been meaning to have Kel check out those old metal storm windows...
