The Heist!
Availability: Please post in this thread if you want to get involved. Probably gonna limit it to 1-2 others.
Characters involved: Daq, Pagusel, Rogrim
Posting Speed: Under ideal circumstances 2-3 days. Skipping by permission or if no one has heard from the player in 5 days.
Summary: Morax needs expensive reagents. Unfortunately, he doesn't have the patience to earn them the honest way.
Location: Industrial District: The Hunt - http://www.tharshaddin.com/rp/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1376
Other Details: Please be forewarned that both Morax and Pagusel are difficult, somewhat socially-challenged characters. Continuation of The Fix/The Hunt.

Re: The Heist!
I guess we should move to the new thread soon. Anyway, as far as the drug goes, you can let me know in PM if there are any unusual effects of this drug--otherwise I'm tempted to treat its effects like an opiate. Pagusel's taken it, anyway, so if it does end up having adverse effects, bring 'em on.
Re: The Heist! [open]
While my characters morals do not exactly mesh with stealing, that does not mean we can't find a way to wrangle him into the plot. He is not against breaking the law, as long as he thinks it is for a worthwhile cause. In addition to this, he is not particularly difficult to take advantage of. So on the chance that this is for a great cause he would be in, and you could convince him that it is a great cause with some cleverly placed words in the case that it is not. Anyway if your characters are okay with lying to an innocent it could work, just tell me what you think.

Morax has no scruples about lying to the innocent. He might have problems with giggling, though. Ming, is Pagusel any good at lying?

PS: I am going to try to post tonight, but I doubt it. Please forgive me, Mistress Ming.

Not a problem, Daq.
So as far as Isosceles's enrollment, the reality of Pagusel's personality is that she wouldn't be inclined to recruit him herself--at least not in a timely fashion. She IS morally ambiguous, and might lie under the right circumstances; she's just not proactive enough to seek out an innocent to use at her own hands. If Pagusel and Morax can establish an idea of what sort of agreement they're going for, then maybe Morax will decide he needs another pair of unwitting hands. Rather than outright lie to Isosceles, Pagusel is more likely to just stand by idly while Morax lies to him. Sorry I can't offer much more than that, but if this helps to move us toward our goal . . .

Ah yes, well I can be patient, I'd rather wait than compromise the integrity of the plot to force my character into the story.

Well, it's not a stretch for Morax to know about any sort of science-y stuff going on in the city, so Morax will supply the contact.
I'll have Morax do the initial lying as well. Maybe he can like.. kick Pagusel in the shins until she backs him up or something.
EDIT: So.. I've already dropped the hint of an associate. I estimate probably 2 rounds of posting before we are knocking on Isosceles' door. We can actually start The Heist thread in a new location and skip all of the business of travel-posting and talk about the travel in summary.
Rogrim--where would we meet Isosceles? At his lab? Where is that?

Ah, yes, his Shop/Workshop is were he will most likely be. It is located on the edge of the Industrial and Commercial districts. Its relatively small, but easily identified by a thin trail of purple smoke running out of a pipe through the ceiling. Inside you will find a variety of gadgets and gizmos and technology of all sorts, haphazardly displayed in a barely ordered chaos.
Re: The Heist!
Tomorrow I'm getting a new computer! So I'll actually post in a timely fashion from tomorrow onward. Really sorry I've been a slowpoke.

Re: The Heist!
Zrrsh.. Sorry about the slow posting. Things should be getting less hectic for me by the weekend.
Ming, what are your thoughts on this for a plan of action to get Rogrim involved ASAP?
Assuming Pagusel doesn't have any further objections, you can post a response in the Hunt, and then we'll just open the Heist thread with Daq and Pagusel arriving outside Rogrim's lab (skipping the travel bit to get there).

Re: The Heist!
Yes, I will get on that in a jiffy . . . which means like 24 hours, if all goes well!
Re: The Heist!
Sorry to intervene. Is Rogrim still around? Are you in communication with him?
The world is an arena, not a stage. RP is a stage, not an arena.

Re: The Heist!
Myup. Rogrim's here. He'll be posting an introductory post about his lab, and Daq and Pag can just arrive there.
