Hey, names Matt, or errr Rogrim I guess. I have been Rping for a while, probably since I was 13 or so, although now when I go back and read stuff from then I want to jump off a bridge. Ummm, I love Fantasy writing and do so as a hobby. I think interacting with other writers helps provoke new thoughts and ideas and overall makes me a better writer, plus its a hell of a lot of fun. I really look forward to hopping into an RP as I recently moved out and need another hobby to help keep me productive and not bored.
Anyway, look forward to getting to know you all and getting into the world!

Hey Matt and welcome to Thar. I'm Phil and I have a title that doesn't impress the girls here as much as I'd like.
Writing like this can definitely help a person improve. I was just reminiscing the other day about how creative writing was actually my most hated course in high school, and how I just couldn't write good characters or stories, despite having decent grammar and spelling. Taking RP to forums totally changed that. These days it's like my spelling and grammar are the problems, ugh...
There was talk about starting an advice thread for people to request constructive criticism of their posts, rather than just the kudos one we have. It helps to have people like Jasmina who have a hunger to read your posts that you wouldn't believe.

Hop on over to the Gold-plated thread in PC to see if you want to get involved, Rogrim. Chezak and Maeve will eventually--or soon--be in Marn, and the plot is fairly open at this point. If you have an idea of how to work your character in please feel free to suggest it!
