Completely agree about Phil's post. In my very humble and newb-ish opinion, I think the moderators and older (meaning more experienced on this board) players should be making more of these types of chars to help illustrate to prospective players the world and history of Marn and Thar Shaddin. Of course, I'm not saying you all need to make new PC's to fulfill this wish... just an idea, maybe in the future when i'm old and venerated, I can be allowed to make such characters as well.

By the way Frug, that character sounded like he was written for a purpose.... ?

I have been playing Camulous without a profile since the forums opened. He started off as an NPC, when there wasn't even an NPCs forum, and he ended up being something much more significant.

I was long overdue giving him a character sheet, because I'm bad. It was easy to do though, becuase I knew everything about him by the time I wrote it...

In other words, if it is in AR it has not occurred as a part of the character's actual history...

Well if it's in the past, it's intended to be considered canon. Just like a backstory is fine, but you can't go back and give the character amazing powers.

Like if I told a story of a performance Lanya did once in a tavern, it can be canon but I can't have anything in the story affect her as she is now on the board.

At least that's how I intended that part.

Maeve!

Nice job on the intro post. Most folks don't get just how horrible the plains around Marn and Shim are. Well done!

Daq, Pag!

Brilliant!

Really. Daq - Morax is creepy. I heart him.

Pagusel is smokin.

I second both of Ree's kudos's. Well written all of it, and I'm curious to see what Maeve will get up to

Lovin' the Natural Selection thread. Seriously, kudos to both of you guys. I think the writing is fantabulous :)

Kudos to Jaspenellar's latest post in the Drunken Rat thread. Serious quality post, even by her high standards.

Wisdom begins in wonder, whereas ignorance begins in a will to change things. Our will is a function regulated by reflection; hence it is dependent on the quality of that reflection. And mortal reflections will never match infinite wonder.

Don't know if this has been Kudo'ed before, but Joe (Gizmo , Zou , Anja ) has some of the most original and cool ideas for characters that I've ever seen. Not at all afraid to be ugly or bizarre or straight out of the box, his character designs are really cool and he writes and plays them all so well. Yay, Kudos!

I'm bumping this thread because I was reading through Daq and Pagusel's recent posts. This led me to read back through the old threads between them as well. These are two solid characters and two solid writers - a must read on the forum if you want to see what good cooperative fiction really is.

The Hunt.
The Fix.
The Hustle.

If I missed one, do let me know.

D'aww.. Fangz, Ree.

There's also Play Your Part (Rogrim / Daq / Pagusel) and A Coalescence of Valence and Essence (Daq only), which take place between The Fix and The Hustle, I believe.
