Priscilla smiled politely and made the slightest inclination of her head in response to the tall man's bow. Though he had looked at Rex's picture, he didn't seem to indicate any surprise at the youthfulness of the face. Obviously, he wasn't interested enough to make the connection that he was older than her husband yet impossibly well-preserved.

She, in turn, didn't make any effort to memorize the alias he had given her--Darkheart. There wasn't much she imagined she could do with it, and she doubted she'd be addressing him by a pet-name like that the next time their paths crossed. She picked up her glass of wine and was about to drink when the man made an unexpected second bow. Or actually, she realized, the first bow had been out of place. Only servants bowed so much.

Priscilla smiled halfheartedly and raised her glass to him before bringing it to her lips. Over its rim, she could see the girl snatching a piece of cheese. Presently, she turned and made a rather feral display of her teeth. Priscilla winked in response and set her glass back on the table.

Once they were gone Priscilla, clapping and whistling loudly, called for her servants to begin packing once more.
