Re: Lightsword Saga
Thanks for the suggestions.
I think we will skip Reia this turn and NPC Moyna for now (probably fairly cautious reactions open to interpretation). If there is no sign of Reia by next turn, then I will assume Reia has gone and we can summarise the scene.
With regard to Quinn, I think it's fair to assume we pay the mercenaries once Shim is over, and we can be vague over the results of the mission if she is still gone.

Sorry I didn't weigh in on this sooner -- hubby got obsessed with a project yesterday, so I couldn't get on the computer.
I think skipping Reia and NPCing Moyna this turn makes the most sense. I told Reia that the thread wasn't going to be moving at lightning speed, but this is a pretty long delay. So, I guess that means it's Karsimir's turn?
And yeah, I think Quinn is gone. Which means that we'll either summarise Karsimir checking in with her father, or NPC him. Any preferences?

Yep, my turn.
As for Brighella, I am happy either way, although I expect the jeweller to have been a fairly attractive target for mercenaries.

Jules, if Kaydee wants to discuss whether they're going to have the suggested conversations with Mamie and Ambrose, or has other ideas, she can of course bring any of that up-- but if she would simply agree and there's nothing more to talk about, feel free to just move us to finding Ambrose in your next post.
If we end up talking to him, we will discover he has some... rather interesting ideas about Clan Uluki. There is likely to be some Awkward in the forecast for all involved.

Re: Lightsword Saga
Hey ladies, I have a quick request. It's more of a style preference, but it's really making me struggle to reply in sequence, so I thought it couldn't hurt to ask!
Would it be possible to cut down the length of the conversation in y'all's posts? I hate to ask because I love the writing, but it's very awkward for me to have my girls not responding to things until it's their turn, and unfortunately I just can't get into the "responding to each point in turn" habit that y'all have perfected. It feels too unnatural to me.
Juuuuuuust thought I'd ask to see if we could come to a middle ground on this one

I will do my best. Sometimes writing in a different style takes me some getting used to, so I won't promise my next post will be exactly what you're hoping for, but I'll try. I can always do re-writes if needed.

Bah! Wuss! We will smite you with our llloooonnnggg posts!
Seriously, sorry about that. Lyl and I get into a rythym and I don't think we realize how hard it is for other people to match it. I'll try to keep my posts shorter when they involve conversation. Hey -- shorter posts mean less work for me!

Re: Lightsword Saga
OK, I know my post still probably has more conversation than is preferred. (And no, I didn't write it that fast, most of it was pre-written.
) The thing is, Orion still needed to respond to what Rosemary already said, and I couldn't think of a way of not doing that without being totally chronologically confusing or resorting to sudden-onset NPC deafness.
However, I am aware that this is not ideal, and sorry for the inconvenience. Please look at this as a transitional post.

Don't worry, I'm not gonna be like rabid about it or anything. I really appreciate y'all's effort! It's just a style difference, but my struggles were becoming too great

Oh, I know, and don't feel bad about it. I just didn't want you to think I wasn't paying any attention to your request.
