Name: Ebony Shihaz'ri’ah Moonfire aka Ebon
Age: 23
Race: anthro dragon
Occupation:assassin/wandering hero
Gender: female
Height: standing up straight, 6’ 5”, but is usually hunched over at 5’ 9”
Weight: 210 pounds
Appearance: Her muzzle was narrow and came to a rounded point. A pair of horns flowed out from above her wolf ears, cutting through her silver hair. That hair was the color of the moon, pure as light and kept in a braid that followed her spine to just above her tail. Her eyes, one green and one light gray, did not have the slit pupils of her ancestors, but the rounded ones of a human. Her hands were normal, ending in a blunt claw each. She walked on her toes, much like her ancestors did as they scaled the mountain heights. Her tail waved gently, all six feet of muscles and bone, ready to lash out like a whip. Her scales, a silvery white despite her name, shined with health and rippled when she moved in a dance with a partner or a dance with blades. The length of her legs made her excel at jumping and climbing as well. Her wings had three joints; the ball and socket joint at her shoulder blades, the hinge joint at her “elbow”, and the hinge joint at her “wrist”. There is also a sort of half-joint between her elbow and her wrist that was at shoulder height. This allowed her wings to bend down and be worn like a cloak. The blunt claws at her wing wrists added to this by clasping together and holding her wings in place.
Her clothes were of a more medieval nature. She wore long sleeved blouse along with baggy leggings, both of a black color. Finger-less gloves that double as bracers covered her hands and forearms. Toeless boots protected her feet and ankles as well as held in the ends of her leggings. A multitude of pouches adorned her belt, their contents known only to her and those that got too curious. But the dead never indulges in secrets.
Personality: She often lurked in the shadows, never quite joining in. Companionship did not come easily to her, but those that she befriended had her unshakeable loyalty for the rest of their days. She had a dark, bloodthirsty sense of humor that can leave some people feeling ill. She can be as air-headed as the next person can, but that is only one of many facades. She was often cynical, but would thaw out and join in the fun. She was very protective of people she knew and trusted and would often puts herself in harms way for them. Her weakness was that she often forgot what she was. Being a wandering hero/assassin often was nothing but blurred days punctured by bloodshed. Because of this she often forgot the real Ebon and at times became mindless in her duties, becoming cold and emotionless.
History: She actually grew up in a very loving home. Her mother and father loved her nearly to death, and made sure she was well learned. She had no siblings, but played with all her schoolmates as though each was a brother or sister. Her mentor was a retired assassin, and taught her how to fight, but not kill. Only when her parents were massacred did she ask for that knowledge. He trained her for three long years, making her reach her 19th birthday before letting her have revenge. The bandits that had taken her parents from her were found in pieces over 4 acres when she was done with them.
Her village never saw her as the child they knew and loved after that. Instead she wandered with her mentor; helping those that could not help themselves as she fought an internal battle with was she had done. As they traveled, he continued to teach her all that he knew, so that she would be able to find work in some way. After a year, putting her at the age of 20, she came to terms with the loss of her parents and what she had done in their name. She returned to her village, a stranger among former friends. No one knew who she was and treated her as such. The fact hit her hard when she approached one of her best friends, and he didn’t know her at all. So she stayed under a new name, Ebony, before she moved on, continuing to help people so that no one has to suffer as she did. Her mentor stayed in the village, offering her save haven if she ever needed it. She never rose to that offer.
Weapons and fighting style: Ebon has twin scimitars that she carries on her belt. She enjoyed the thrill to rush head long into a fight with one in each hand. She would employ a series of jumping tactics to avoid being hurt while she would strike with the speed of lightning. If a blade were to be lost, she would revert to hand to hand combat, using her clawed hands, feet and her tail to knock people around. Her wings helped with high jumps so she could dive onto people. Her teeth were a last resort and only in very close range. She had only a few daggers she can throw. Her moon pendent could make her invisible for a short time, but only for up to a half-hour before needing to be recharged under moonlight.
Abilities: She has an amulet of ebony on a leather thong. It was carved to look like a full moon, and gave her the power of invisibility, but only for a short time. Basic healing is all she has, but mostly relies on her assassin skills to get out of a tight spot. There is also rumor of a hidden ability that can be used at will to unleash a demon, but none have lived long enough to tell of this creature.
Companions: n/a
Ryosha: Ryosha is something of an anomaly. When Ebony completed the slaughter of the bandits, she found herself enjoying it to the point of ecstasy. When she was finished and realized not only what she had done, but also how she had done it and that it was a pleasure to feel their life’s blood flow through her talons, her mind could not cope with such a thought. So out of desperation Ryosha was created from the depths of her mind and is responsible for most of the murders that follow in their wake.
Each is fully aware of the other, but like an annoying rash that cannot be cured, neither can be rid of the other. When Ebony is under extreme emotional stress, i.e. blinding rage or sheer panic, or when she is utter exhausted, Ryosha can and will emerge to take control for a while. The only physical change is their eyes. When the crazed one comes forth, the eyes go to red with a slit pupil, as if reflecting the madness within. And when Ryosha has had her fill of either death or just chaos, the crazed one will return control until she becomes restless again and finds means of escape.
After a time, Ebony came to grips with what she had done and tried to find ways to getting rid of Ryosha for good, but so far nothing has worked. Their fates are intertwined together and neither can break free.
Currently, Ebony has retreated and does not have the hope to reclaim control, leaving the crazed one free to kill and maim any she wishes. Ryosha seeks a way to break Ebony beyond repair so that their will never be a threat to her power again.
