As many as you see fit, although once the number of refugees approaches 50 we are going to struggle to provide for them all.

Re: Lightsword Saga
Deleted the post I made a few minutes ago, because I looked at the actual numbers rather than just estimating; this post says almost the same thing, but with more accuracy.
I was thinking less than 50 for sure.
In current numbers, we have 24 named refugees, including children.
Of those, 11 were here prior to the raid on Snyde, meaning during/following the raid we picked up 13 more. Of those 13, 5 were brothel prostitutes and 8 were various other civilians.
Did either of you have any additional refugees you wanted included in the headcount that you haven't named? The 24 only includes the named ones. Are there any others who need to be considered toward the total?
For my additions, I wanted to have the largest percentage of them be goblins, and then with a few members of a couple of additional races. I don't see us going up to 50 before we leave for Fain, although I'd be very surprised if we didn't break 50 if any significant number of people come with us. Of course, some of those people will probably have brought along their own supplies, so we won't necessarily be flat-out providing for them.

I have no specific refugees in mind. Thanks for asking.

Thrown up a fast post for Karsimir, just to get him in the compound so he's nearby.

Quinn, start your thread with the Sellswords. I will fit around where you begin.

Lyl -- small cameo from Zee in my Julen post. If it interferes with anything you have planned, I can take it out, but it seemed right.
Sorry my post have been a little slow lately. Lots going on.

Re: Lightsword Saga
Nope, that was perfect. Doesn't interfere with anything, and very well done. I giggled. Just right for Zee.
And no worries on the posting speed. Is everything OK?

I hope you don't mind, but I took some... liberties... with the meat you threw me.

That's what it's there for... your perverse amusement.

Re: Lightsword Saga
Thanks for asking. Yeah, everything's fine. It's all good stuff. Family/friend gatherings, art projects, apartment improvent undertakings, and the summer classic film series. Fun, mostly, but keeping me busy.Lylessa Uluki wrote:And no worries on the posting speed. Is everything OK?

Re: Lightsword Saga
Lyl -- I'm happy to have the scene go on for as long as you want, but Kaydee has pretty much said her piece now.

Re: Lightsword Saga
Dash didn't say anything substantive (it was mostly a thinky post) and is feeling like she needs some time alone, so it doesn't make sense for me to prolong the conversation. If Kaydee wants to say more to her, she's welcome to, but Dash isn't going to initiate it. So as far as I'm concerned, we can move on-- unless my post has inspired more Kaydee needs to say.
I also did what I needed to between Uluki and the nomads. If the scene with Kaydee is done, I'm ready to catch up to the current day. Do you guys have a lot more to do before the warriors leave for Shim? If so, I'll come up with something to occupy myself till then; it won't be anything major, obviously. If not, I'll get ready to start advancing my during-Shim plot stuff.

Re: Lightsword Saga
That seems like a good place to end the scene. Poor Dash.
I don't think there's a lot to do before Shim. Karsimir will announce the members of the First Lance and (if I know Karsimir) make a rousing speech about Shim. Then there will presumably be a post or two of people saying goodbye. And then we're off. Unless there's anything that I'm forgetting or haven't thought of. Rail?

That sounds good. Also, Lyl, I have no problem with you writing as if we already left.Julen wrote:That seems like a good place to end the scene. Poor Dash.

And you were right about the rousing speech, which sort of happened by accident.
I am not expecting long goodbyes, but don't feel obligated to cut them short.
I may still throw some archers in all of a sudden. I will just start inserting them as I get ideas.
