These things are difficult to contain.

This being said, this isn't a thread about me and self-harm, ideally. And this wasn't the reason I brought the thing up. Post about drama, people, plearse.

I think you're the only one who wants to say anything. I'm the complete opposite. I tell nobody my problems, not even random online people (which doesn't include you guys, obviously, but I mean like...help forums). Which is double kudos to you. It feels good to vent

Indeed it does. Hence the poem.
And the book which will be going up there at the end of this year, which I keep forgetting to write.
Meh, I say. MEH.

Ice, it's the difference between telling your problems and the cause of your problems. I have no problems with the latter part
Let's see, drama...
Well I've already told a few people about this one, but I'll grace y'all with the story too so you can be mad with me.
My littlest niece's b-day party was Saturday (3 years old). Jane, my sis-in-law, invited about 6 kids. One parent called to say they couldn't come 'cause they were sick. The rest didn't show up at all.
At all. No notification that they wouldn't come. Nothing. Just didn't show up.
According to my mother who was there, Jane was up Friday night until 1 AM at least (so probably closer to 2 AM) making starfish-shaped and frosted cookies, putting up decorations, just getting everything ready. She spent the entire week getting everything set up for this party to happen, and any time I spoke to her about it she was REALLY excited to see how the kids would like what she'd done.
A whole week, guys. She busted her ass doing this stuff, to make a fantastic party for her little girl.
Mom tells me she was beside herself, crying and really upset. Thank goodness Bear's only three (Bear is my niece's nickname) and didn't get what was happening, but Jordy, my older niece (5), did. She kept asking my parents and my brother and my sis-in-law when the party was going to start, when is everyone coming, etc. etc.
Now I won't lie, I would have been blowing up some phones calling people and grilling them on where the fuck they were. I set up this shit and you're not even gonna give me the grace of letting me know you can't come? YOU WILL COME LOVE MY BABY AND LIKE IT. This may be why it's a good thing I don't have kids...yet...:S
Anyway, Jane cried it out, had 2-3 glasses of nerve-calmer (wine), then called up family and friends and threw together a barbecue instead. Her dad even drove about 2 hours to come and throw a big ol' get-together. A neighbor had a moonwalk (one of those awesome inflatable jumpy things for kids, like a trampoline but 800 times better) that they brought over. Pretty much everyone she called came over. Heck if she'd have called me I probably would've driven the 6 hours, too.
What makes this story great is that 1. it worked out well in the end because if there's one thing our family can agree on, it's that we love these girls, and 2. the people invited were the children Jane teaches. And then had to see the following Monday.
Good times.

Re: Such Drama In Life!
I got her the first time. But that is funny, how you could take it the other way...
Anyway. That sucks! I've had bad luck with parties, too, mainly because there wasn't anyone to invite. So I can empathize with that poor little girl. Better luck next year! This time, you've got to do a "mafia" and make big men follow them around until they go to the party.
Because if free food and a party isn't enough to lure them, a threat of violence should! (And if free food etc. isn't enough, they are losers! I mean, wow.) I think people are losing their common sense of decency and respect. I see it everyday. It makes me mad

Pffft, I think it's already gone in most areas. Which is a shame, nice people are so much better to have as lasting friends.
