Yes, very well said. But what I meant by what I said is that I don't care if it looks bad when I get old, I'll be old and my shirt won't be coming off in public as it occasionally does now.

yeah, that tattoo is pretty awesome! And Kamar, it would be cool to see a pic of yours too. They sound entertaining  My friend designed her own and got it done on her lower back ( I think u all are using the phrase "bitch spot" but we call it a "slut tag" or something of that sort ) and it's pretty cool too. I think the idea of the tattoo is pretty cool but I am a wuss and I am well aware of it :D I do not care for needles at all :P If I were ever to get one though it would be something simple and somewhere around my face or neck, like a designish sorta thing or a symbol or whatever. That way, I would be less likely to not like it later (bc I'm naturally indecisive). But of course that area is one of the most sensitive places to get them so NEVER gonna happen.

As for piercings, I have one cartilage, a set of firsts and seconds in my lobes. Pretty standard. I'm practical in that sense. None of that random body stuff. I know several people who've had them and told me that those have a tendency to catch on things and cause all sorts of unhappiness. Plus, I need to look really professional for when I go looking for jobs  Stereotypes suck.

Yes, long live the tramp stamp! I'm sorry, but as many guys do I find them sayxie. As for designing tats yourself, I did the basic design for mine and had my friend class it up, seeing as I draw like shit. But no worries, I'm afraid (have literally broken down in tears in the Dr's office) of needles and still have that big tattoo and my piercings. And yes, stereotypes blow major squibblejack.

I kind of want a tattoo, but I fear my own changing tastes too much to get one. The one I wanted in college I know longer want, nor the one I wanted when I started grad school... you know how it goes. Commitment issues. ;)

I have three holes in each earlobe, so a bit more than is customary, but nothing really wild. I used to have the cartilage at the top of each ear pierced and a piercing midway between the top and bottom of my right ear... I loved the way it looked, but I'm really sensitive to metals and they became too painful to be worth it. I'm actually having issues with my "normal" piercings now too-- no matter matter how hypoallergenic the metal, after a few hours I look like I've been burned.

I also currently have my bellybutton pierced, but once again I'm having rejection issues, so I'm not optimistic I'll have it for long. My first try at a bellybutton ring got ripped out and I have a funky scar, so it may be time to cut my losses... especially if I keep taking bellydance classes. I like the bellybutton ring in spite of it, I have to admit.

Lyl, have you tried any of the hypoallergenic plastics? For some reason my body's real picky about which metals it will allow also. I can only wear true silver or surgical stainless. I have found that I can wear the plastics I mentioned and here lately bone. Yes, I said bone. My newest pair of plugs are made of it, and they rule.

No, I haven't tried the plastic. I will look into that.

My bellybutton ring is titanium, which I was promised I couldn't possibly have an issue with. I am. ;) My earrings are surgical steel and that was always OK before, but it's starting to be a problem now. I may have to give up on metal all together.

yeah some bodies' cells really just don't like foreign objects invading their personal space :? I have a friend who was told that she simply cannot get piercings at all which sucks. Although, she hadn't tried so who knows *shrugs* Personally, i just cannot wear gold. Idiot who pierced my cartilage ... i TOLD them many many times NO GOLD and what do they do? Give me a titanium earing ... with a gold back :( Got so infected and i was a very angry person. At first i could not even figure out why it was so bad since i was supposed to leave the earing in.

[rant completed, moving on ...]

Bone?! That is wicked sweet ^_^ Where do you even find bone stuff? What's it a bone of?

I'm too lazy to go find my webcam to take pictures of my tats right now. I moved, so it could be in one of several places.

I used to have an eyebrow piercing, barbell. Twice. The first one was silver, and rejected. The second was surgical steel, and rejected. I was thinking of trying titanium, but I think I'm going to wait a bit for that.

I'll get the pics at some point. Promise.

Well, I got the plugs at Hot Topic. Feel free to laugh and poke fun, but I love that store. I am also thinking about getting a kick ass pair from a local tattoo shop that are hand carved to look like eagle talons...yeah. Not 100% sure what kind of bone though, but it's probably cow seeing as we find someway to use nearly every part of those damned animals.

Kamar.........you ever seen Seven?

ooo I also love Hot Topic ^_^ It appeals to my eccentric nature  I'm not goth or emo or anything like that but i like to dress like them sometimes for the mere pleasure of it. Which is probably why Halloween is my fav holiday! It's the only time I can dress like that and not look totally weird and out of place. ( i swear, there are no goths on my college campus or if there is, i've never seen them 0.0 )

If Seven is the one with Brad Pitt? And Morgan Freeman? And it's about the seven deadly sins? Then yes.

This one...

Yep, that would be the flick. Guy with bed sores = Kamar.

But yeah, Hot Topic is one of five stores I ever venture into when in the Mall. FYE, Spencer's, Hot Topic, Pac Sun (only for the shoes), and Game Stop. Well, I lied, I also go into K.B. Toys, but that's cause my kick ass guitarist buddy works there.

Pfft, don't lie. You go into K.B Toys to look at all the cool stuff all those whiney lil brats nowadays get, and wish that you could have had THOSE as a kid instead of playing with legos adn linkin logs.. Which you still occasionally buy, along with the random transformer here and there, and because there is a cute redhead that works in there that thinks it's cute when a guy still wishes he was a kid sometimes. This is you ofcourse...not me..yeah..umm..

haha, yeah a likely story

but hey, I'll admit to going into toy stores because I do still wish i was a kid. In fact, most of my friends on occasion feel free to act like kids (my roommate has freakin' play dough just chillin in our room *grins*). Nothing wrong with that  just as long as you remember you're not a kid and have that paper to write for class or have to go into work the next day to pay the bills ...

oh and why the sudden talk of Seven?
