Because complaining is a luxury

Post by Frug » Sun Sep 18, 2005 7:22 pm

I'm composing a list of pet peeves that customers in my cyber cafe do. Yeah it has nothing to do with this board, but nobody else is using goofing off and i want to print this list up and post it somewhere behind the desk. Incidentally Mo is my boss.

Things that bug me about customers.

1. Showing us the back of the membership card. Yes, we know this is the sunshine cyber cafe. We work here.

2. Asking if we have the internet.

3. Walking in and not even looking at the guy at the front desk, and wandering around the place like a lost puppy.

4. Complaining about 40 cents.

5. Asking us how to navigate a particular website. No, sorry sir, we didn't actually make the whole internet. Sorry, i've never sat down and learned how to use the American Lumber Committee's website. My bad.

6. Complaining about 7 cents.

7. Being totally, completely, utterly unable to locate computer number 7.

8. Giving your membership number by muttering: "mmmbmmremm" "I'm sorry?" "memmbremummble" "Umm. What?" "Mrmrmmeseven" *sigh*

9. Throwing trash in the recycling bin.

10. Logging out of windows or turning off the computer.

11. Being friends with Mo, asking for Mo, or asking when Mo will be back.

I've never worked in an internet cafe, but a lot of those are reminiscent of my experiences in retail customer service. Why do so many people have to be so amazingly dumb??

I dunno but my boss and my co-workers added to the list until it was 18 items long.
