Jack Dee is a very abrasive comedian.

Use only if you have a thick enough skin to withstand the grating remarks.

Most English comedians are abrasive. :| That is what makes them funny. I shan't put a disclaimer on my sense of humour. :|

Dude, are you sure you are English... and from the north west? :p

Even I knew that, Xyon! Honestly boy! :)

I don't really have any favorites; I just love watching comedians. Even though most of the internet seems to hate him, I do enjoy Dane Cook. His writhing around like a kid with severe epilepsy makes it even funnier.

I miss Comedy Central :( (no cable)

One of the main channels we have on our package is Paramount Comedy. Lots of Comedy Store and FRASIER!!!!

And Everybody Hates Chris. :D

The North West has some of the funniest and best comedians IMO. Like Peter Kay, and Johnny Vegas. Also, many people find Billy Connelly abrasive and he is hailed as a very popular comedian. :D I tend to prefer the sarcastic hard hitting comedian's, they have balls and it's my sense of humour. I often laugh at things I shouldn't :P

Does anybody else like Last Comic Standing? Even if I do prefer rude humor it's a pretty good show, even though they put some crappy comedians through.

Also, I can't remember his name or the name of his show, but there was this beaner (not trying to be mean, that's what he considers himself) with a show on Comedy Central that I used to watch at my friend's house all the time. He was great. He hated everyone (the blacks, the whites, the umm....various spanish speaking peoples, the jews, the christians, the fat, the skinny, the smart, the retarded, and every other type of human being you can think of), and was quite vocal with his loathing. Damn I wish I could remember his name.

You're probably thinking of Carlos Mencia. I suggest you google him. He's been taking a TON of flack and is widely hated in the comedy world - because he steals material all over the place.

Oh, sweet irony.

Yep, that's the name, Carlos Mencia. And stealing material is, while a regretable tactic, unavoidable to some level. it's like if I wrote the bass line to a song and someone said "Hey, you stole that riff from so-and-so." It's an un-avoidable thing, as long as music has been around, it is very likely that every note grouping and rythmn (a riff) has been played before. The only way to be even 60% sure of the originality would be to invent a new instrument and play the riff on that.

One of my favorite comedians is Lewis Black. He's like that. He always acts angry and it's hilarious! Have you guys seen/heard any of his material?

Haha, I love LCS...I like how they're including foreign comedians this season, too.
