No. You had an impossible of impossible. Stop doing that.

I'll dehydrate... :(
I have to jump.

But if water is impossible beer cannot exist since the vast proportion of beer (I.E: the wet part) is made of water.

We'll still have vodka and whiskey though, right? :?

vodka's impossible. Whiskey is on shaky ground, like beer.

Alcohol actually causes dehydration. It makes you pee more, so you get dehydrated. :P

Isn't glass actually such a solid liquid that they call it a solid? B'cuz its slowly moving. Or something. (@_@)

I think the argument for glass being liquid is just an academic one. Practically it's a solid as far as anyone who isn't studying physics is concerned. It's just something in the molecular structure that makes it technically a liquid. I didn't even know that until Xyon pointed it out. kinda like how a tomato is technically a fruit, or whatever.

You can get used to drinking alcohol and stop getting so dehydrated from it. Regular beer drinkers make less trips to the loo.

Some people tell me tea and coffee make you dehydrated too but I'm not sure about those. I don't think tea does.

Water's obviously the most rehydrating drink going (Gosh!)

Anything alcoholic will dehydrate you. (This is because alcohols always have an -OH group in their molecular structure, which binds to the water in your body)

Caffiene also dehydrates you. Drinks like coffee, coke, and, to a lesser extent tea, will all cause dehydration. Coffee significantly more than tea.

A standard sized cup of coffee contains around 80mg of caffiene, wheras tea contains no more than 10mg.

Oh, and coca-cola does more than just dehydrate. It leeches calcium from human bones, and is the leading cause of osteoperosis.

The US Highways authorities use around 200 gallons of coke per month to clean blood off the highway surface after accidents.

The drivers of the trucks that ship the damnable stuff swear it's the best engine cleaner they've ever found.

As for this discussion about glass, it's neither liquid nor solid. Imagine, if you will, an equilateral triangle with the common phases of matter. If you can't, see the one below.

http://www15.brinkster.com/javaonthebrain/SLGPtri.html

The dot in the centre there is a pure plasma, niether solid, liquid or gas, but exhibiting the properties of all three.

Glass can be found along the bottom line, as indicated. It's a form of plasma, because it's not solid, and it's not liquid. Somewhere between. :)

I still have my doubts that tea dehydrates. Even if caffeine dehydrates, there is still a lot of water in tea, and I suspect it more than offsets whatever caffeine is in it.

Of coffee and coke I have no doubt. Coffee is the devil and I'm his concubine.

The standard "8 glasses of water a day" idea is not attributable to any particular source and looks like some arbitrary figure someone came up with. This is good because I can't manage that. 6 on a good day, usually like 4.

It also makes no sense at all in context because if I eat a hamburger I will immediately drink at least 2 to 4 glasses of water because of all the salt and how thirsty it makes me. Ditto for a hot day. Does that mean I should consume 12 glasses that day? No chance of that.

This "8 *item impossible, name cannot be listed*s of *item impossible, name cannot be listed* a day" thing seems very odd to me.

Yes, humans function similarly. But everyone has their own individual needs, and everyone requires different amounts of diferent things. So how can there be a general, flat rate figure for how much *item impossible, name cannot be listed* we can drink?

8 *item impossible, name cannot be listed*s of *item impossible, name cannot be listed* per day...

No, I don't think I get that either.
