"It wasn't a very funny and a bad test." Shade grumbled irritably. He huffed at her for a moment before glancing at the soup with a sigh. "No, I'll be fine. Thanks for the offer though. At any rate, you shouldn't joke about things like that or as I should smartly say, if you do have it you shouldn't say anything at all about it. You're quite lucky it was me who walked through these damn doors. If it was half the guard I know, they'd have you in jail and throw the key without so much as lending an ear that you were joking."

He scolded her sharply, shaking a finger in the cliche child scolding manner. He didn't care if she didn't see it. He had a scolding to give.

"Honestly." He snorted sharply. "That place is no way a good place for a lady like yourself let alone a blind one. I doubt you'd survive long at all! Look at me dammit. I'm a bloody shifter and I only got out because of a lucky connection I made ages ago. Given how you told me most of these town people don't like you much, I doubt you'd have that luxury."

Lorelei chucked humorlessly before shrugging. "I apologize again, although sometimes I wonder if I would be better off that way. It's hard making a living like I do with my disability. " She shook her head as if clearing her thoughts before jumping slightly as another crack of thunder surprised her. "Sounds like the storm has quite a bit to say. I remember being a child and watching the lightning out the crack in my parents window, it was fascinating."

(Sorry it's so short.)

"Really? You liked storms?" Shade paused as he gave his nose a wrinkle, huffing slightly as scratched thoughtfully at his chin. "I used to cling to my mother's skirts as a child whenever thunder came though I'm not sure if that was because it was so loud or because I was so young. It was worse if I was in pup form."

The next roll of thunder boomed and shook the ground slightly, making Shade grimace as he chuckled sheepishly. Overhead the rain pattered loudly on roof and grounds a like, promising him a muddy walk home. He wrinkled his nose.

"I guess spraining my leg is a small work of a miracle though. I'd hate to get stuck out in such a storm. " He stated offhand, a slow smirk growing across his face as he gave a flirty chuckle. "I'd much rather be stuck in a room with a pretty lady as yourself after all."

She chuckled slightly before nodding "I'm sure that your ears are much more sensitive than mine so I can imagine it would rattle you some. I just always thought the patterns the Lightning made was so interesting." She tilted her head before smirking slightly "would you smell a bit like wet dog?" She joked good naturedly before acting like she was looking around "There is another woman here? Where is she?" A soft chuckle follows her words.

"You know, I don't really know if I'd smell of wet dog as a human but I'd definitely smell bad as a wolf." Shade huffed in amusement before giving a low chuckle. "Though I have to say, you're denial at being a pretty lady is rather cute in itself. Gives you a charm all on your own."

He grinned before awkwardly hopping with his tea, careful not to shake it too much else he make a mess.

"Honestly though, I'm surprised you haven't at least a dog or some sort of guard creature about. What if a crazy manwolf tried to break in and steal your cutlery? You would be beside yourself with horror." He jibbed, taking another swig with a grimace. "Think of it! No forks for salads or spoons for soup. Chefs all around the world would bow their heads in shame."

"Well I haven't seen my own face since I was a child, how am I to know if you are just being a gentleman because I really have a mole growing out of my forehead?" She joked "Or my hair might have gone grey and no one wants to mention that as a young woman I look like an old maid."

She laughed and tilted her head slightly as she listened to him move. "I used to have a cat, he was one of those who was mixed between a house cat and some wild feline I healed his leg." She said with a shrug "He was around for a few years, hated all men it was rather humorous, but he moved on not to awful long ago. I have never been really good with most dogs, I think they sense that I can be rather uncomfortable around them sometimes." She shifted slightly in her seat before running her hand through her hair. "And for all of my cutlery, I'd stab him with a fork if he tried to run off with it all. I might be blind but I can hear rather well and have decent aim when I throw things. "

"I'll have to take your word on that!" Shade burst out laughing as he imagined her with a war face on, throwing knives and anything within radius at every sound. "Of course, I'd rather not try that out. I like myself sitting nice rather than dodging whatever you have in your hand. Especially if you aim is anywhere close to your healing skills."

"If it is, I say you should quit healing and join the guards!" He laughed harder at the image of her now in Guard gear chasing down criminals. "No bandit would escape you then, I'll be certain! Peg 'em between the eyes before anybody else could get near 'em! We'd call you Sharpy for your Sharp shooting skills!"
