Ayden fingers the strange arrowhead amulet around his neck absently, smiling happily at the people gathered around him - seeming perfectly at ease with the sleeping child in his lap. Good, none of them mean any harm - but still they do not trust each other or me... Ayden thinks It is to be expected I suppose, I would never trust them if I didn't know better... With this done, Ayden reaches for the pile of papers before him and clears his throat before continuing, "The plan I am about to reveal to you took me a great deal of planning and effort to put together, so if any of you do not wish to take part in it I suggest you leave now." He looks around the table pointedly.
"The timing for our mission is everything, in three days time an annual party is going to be held at the Watergate Manor. We will be using this as our opportunity to strike." Ayden takes a sip from the tea in front of him and then continues, "Security at the Manor will be distracted and poorly able to deal with a well placed strike when so much else is there to hold their attention." Ayden glances over at the others again, his eyes sparkiling mischievously, "Now, you are wondering what purpose I will have for all of you I presume? Firstly I will need at least two people acting as civilians within the complex itself during the course of the party to act as our eyes and ears. Dirk and Charlotte, you both appear to have the skills necessary to accomplish this role."
"In addition to this one of you will be assisting me in the heist itself, I was hoping that you Acacia would be up for this position?" Ayden asks politely before continuing, "The next step is the most difficult part - the getaway. As the upper floors of the manor will be deserted during the party the actual robbery itself should prove quite simple for one of my skills, however getting all of that loot out the doors will prove a challenge." Ayden seems to perk up at the idea, his eyes glowing brightly, "This is where you Charlotte and Dirk will come in, you will provide the distraction necessary for our escape to be successful. I will leave what you wish to do up to you, however you need to be able to hold the full attention of the security and guests for at least 1 minute, that will give me time to transfer the loot to the wagon we will have waiting." Ayden looks over at the pair of them, "I would suggest some kind of fight, a fire or another display which will keep the house suitably occupied."
Ayden sits back down. "I am sure you have questions, and I am sure you have ideas - pleas feel free to share them with me now."
A Perfect Plan
Re: A Perfect Plan
“The plan sounds all well and good, and yet…” Acacia started, her voice losing its severity as it went. She swallowed, and her eyes glanced around the room before pressing her lips together, eyes tightening, and continuing, almost apologetically – yet as with most she did the sentiment remained unclear, “I am sorry to question, but I know that during a party perhaps the opposite would be likely to occur – in saying an increase in security, not to mention the guests numbers, is a given obstacle. I just thought we would choose a night when we knew the residence to be empty.” she shrugged. Then again, in some ways, this rather odd plan he had devised seemed ingenious. Looking around at the now still room, she was rather grateful that Ayden had had the humility to give Charlotte a blanket, and eyes flickering towards Dirk she returned his smile with a twist of her own, feeling perhaps she had left it too late.
Having noticed the flash of white across Charlotte’s mouth after Acacia had left her seat, she now rather sheepishly repositioned herself in the deep chair. Rubbing her eyes, and pulling her feet up so her bare feet disappeared beneath her, she spoke again, this time meeting no one’s eyes, “As for the roles… I know I would be more than willing to assist in that area…” And almost but not quite adding “I hate parties.” she opened her eyes and smiled wearily towards Ayden, determined to not be the weak link in this chain.
“How many guests are you expecting to be there?” she wondered aloud, thinking.

Re: A Perfect Plan
Dirk glanced at Charlotte's figure concealed only by a towel. "I'm sure we can manage to come up with some kind of distraction," he remarked to Ayden. He privately agreed with Acacia -- pulling off the robbery in a deserted building would be simpler and less risky -- but there was no point in lending his voice to already-expressed concerns if he didn't have to. "Just to be clear, though, can we assume there's no jailbreak contingencies in place if we get ourselves in trouble?" The options for distractions bacame rather more limited if one wanted to avoid imprisonment doing it.

The woman merely nodded to Ayden, confirming her job with the simple dip of her chin. Dirken, as well as Acacia's words were noted, and although they were working together, she'd deny any and all ties with the small gang if caught. But, if need be she'd make a few "calls" and visit a few people-she's worked her way out of a jail cell on more than one occasion.
"What type of party shall this be? I would hate going into it looking like I'm just there to crash it." Given, depending on the area of the heist, she was more than certain she would see at least a few clients. "Not to mention, it would be nice to know who's throwing it."
