I'm going out of town for two days, starting right about now. I should be back in a little over 48 hours! Not sure if there will be internet, so I probably won't be online for two days.

Hey, my flight back to Beijing got delayed, and I just got home. I'm super tired and have to be at work bright and early, so I'm going to have to be late on my post, unless you guys want a pile of garbage . . . You don't. I'll post as soon as I have time tomorrow!

We'll use this discussion thread to talk about what happens with Cervantes and Jasmina as well.

I'm going to write up a few NPCs to work with Jasmina, and I've talked to Jake about his playing one of the bodyguards who will pose problems for Cervantes.

I made an opening post with cerv on the road to Keltaris here: http://www.tharshaddin.com/rp/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1836

Ola peeps.

Frug tells me there may be a place for me to get my guy in one some of this action, so i thought I would introduce myself, and let you all know I am most pleased to game with you all, (should you have me).

I am gonna read the last few posts and see if I can make an entry.

Ooh, on account of the fact that we have some characters speaking in accents that we often transcribe in writing, can you tell us how you would pronounce "Taal"? An example of what word it rhymes with is usually best, seeing as we (on this board) don't use any standard phonetic alphabet. I know . . . we don't all have a standard pronounciation either . . . but yeah, rhymies please.

Oh, oh, I have a friend from Philly and to her the words "don" and "dawn" don't rhyme, like they do for me, and the other night I'm like "Did Don call you?" and she's like "Who the hell is Dawn?" Some Seinfeldesque hilarity ensued. But anyway, assuming such an issue doesn't come up, what does "Taal" rhyme with?

Phonetically it would be 'T-ah-l' ( just say it as one word ) with a long 'a'... as for words that rhyme?

Errrr...

I'm really sorry but I am drawing up a blank :( I really can't think of one...! X.x

Yeah, like I said, we don't have a standard phonetic transcription system on this board. If you say, "It's the 'ah'" sound, some people will think it sounds like "tall" and some people will think it rhymes with "pal."

In International Phonetic Alphabet, the symbol for the vowel sound in "pal" is "æ." This letter is called "ash." It is also the vowel sound found in "rack," "Sam," and "jazz." Unfortunately, we can't ALL be phonologists . . . which is why I ask for rhymes.

And in other thread-related news, I will have REAL FUNCTIONING INTERNET as of Monday. Hooray.
