Fay manged to bend to avoid the stab, but not the cut. Hissing as the blade cut into her skin, Fay wrenched herself back and smiled icely. Close-space combat. She could do that. Up came her hand to flick the catch of her cloak. She caught it in her hand and tossed it to the side, her eyes dark as she sank further into her assassin's mind. She shifted, only barely, to strengthen her muscles, lengthen her reach and enhance her senses.
She flicked a blade up and into a proper postion as she flashed forward again. The woman's left was her defense so... Fay stopped at the last second and brought her leg up, the momentum causing the limb to blur as it came at the woman's left side of her head, her blades up and in a defensive position to protect her torso from any blades. The idea was to knock the woman into the ground, allow the movement to carry her upright once more and then slam her blade down and into the woman's chest.
