Re: Never Trust Appearances
***Another joint post, we were on a roll***
It seemed like magic that suddenly he was the one leaning over her. Her breath started to become almost panting. Waves of heat followed his hands where they trailed over her frame, and chill followed it. As he kissed her neck, she tilted her chin up. Her body shuddered lightly, hands clenching his shirt in her fists. Suddenly she understood his statement about how it was likely to drive someone mad
No protest so far... quite the opposite. She was panting, which he used to his advantage, quickly covering her mouth with his, sliding his tongue to caress her, slowly, easily, coaxingly, before pulling away, his eyes dark. "No more of this 'proper' nonsense, aye? If you're scared, just tell me." Down his lips went to kiss where her shoulder met her neck, thumbs grazing her breasts but not quite touching, as he slid his hands down her side. "And I'll stop when you say so." He looked up at her again. "And that's a as proper as I get."
Fyra looked at him with eyes that may as well have been black. His last kiss had left her breathless and thoughts jumbled. But proper-ye gods... Her hands tentatively copied the motions of his, running down over his sides and back up until they rested on his chest. Part of her wanted warm skin there. I don't know where to stop though... or if I should.. Her voice was soft as she murmured "Kiss me again... make me forget what proper means."
Those words... he waved goodbye to most of his control as he all but fell on her, kissing her, tongue massaging her own, his hands dragging her thighs up so that her pelvis rested against his before sliding down her back to lift her with a small grunt, moving her to sit in his lap. Now with one hand on her ass and the tangled in her hair, Kaleb sought to obey her every command.
She couldn't stop herself from making the occasional sound. It was a mix somewhere between a purr and a whimper. Her tongue tangled with his, inexperienced but slowly learning. Sitting, straddling his lap, her hands ran up to tangle in his roughly cut hair. Heat just seemed to spread from everywhere they touched, lips, chest, stomach, his hand at the back of her head, and it gathered in her belly and just seemed to build. She pressed herself closer, feeling as though she might be able to meld their two bodies together, but of course that didn't happen. It was several long minutes before she pulled back, chest heaving with her heavy breathing. Her head dropped to hide her face against his neck, hiding in his scent. Theogios...
His body was screaming for more. But she was hiding, shaking slightly, and hopefully got his point. He hid his face in the crook of her neck, just as she hid in his, and slowly worked to calm himself down. Nothing past this tonight, but hell, this had been one hell of a step for her. And with that, he'd be content with... for now. Then he'd just nudge her to the next step and watched to see what would happen. For now, he just contented himself with holding her and breathing in her scent.

Re: Never Trust Appearances
He smelled wonderful. Her nose was pressed against the skin where his should slid into his neck. Fyra quivered in his arms, feeling every ridge and dip of his body against hers, still pressed so closely that she felt like their clothing was a barrier rather than something useful. One of her hands remained tangled among his dark hair, the other arm just wrapped around his shoulders.
Bless the darkness... Her cheeks were bright, but it was no longer a blush of embarrassment. She could feel a flame flickering in her belly, for the man that held her pressed so tightly against him. Her voice was a hard to decipher mumble against his skin. "Prop'r folks dun know wut they're missin."

Re: Never Trust Appearances
He laughed a short, but agreeing laugh. "Aye, right you are! Now aren't you glad I decided to go and corrupt your lovely little soul?" Kaleb teased before kissing her just under her ear. He shifted his hands so they grabbed her ass/thighs, lifting her as he stood so he could lay back on the couch with a small grunt.
He settled back, content to stroke her thighs for now, ignoring his discomfort. He'd said he'd let her take the lead, he meant it, she just needed a nudge now and again. Amyrea took this time to flit into existence. "I would've thought you would have made love to her." She quipped, sitting by Kaleb's head. "She wasn't ready." Kaleb replied easily before looking up at Fyra. "Amyrea." He said by means of explanation. Tilting his head back slightly he eyed the ghost.
"Where'd you run off to missy? You seem to be away from me quite a bit." Kaleb could have sworn he saw her blush - if ghosts could do such a thing. "There's this man..." Kaleb twisted, looking shocked. "You found someone more attractive than me?" Kaleb teased, his eyes amused. Amyrea scoffed. "No where near - he's just so sweet... and so nice... he's got such a nice outlook about his death too. Oh and he's dead! He could marry me!" Kaleb grinned. "And the two of you could have ghost babies?" "Yes we could- is that even possible?" "No, no Amyrea, I don't think it is." "Changers damn it."

Fyra laughed quietly as he moved, letting her body shift as needed for him to lay back down. In the end, she didn't really change how she was much, laying stretched over his chest, her legs straddling him still, and her face still hidden by blessed darkness in the crook of his neck. His hands ran over her thighs, heat and cold. It made her continue to quiver, though it was nothing compared to the heat of his kisses just moments before. Stop thinking about it!
As his voice sounded, she raised her head, and her lips were forming the question when he explained with the ghost woman's name. Oh. She looked at the area that supposedly contained the woman, listening to the half conversation. I don't know if it's possibly to find somebody better looking... She blinked swiftly. 'Congratulations on a new, ghost swain?" She wasn't sure whether it was a question or a statement or completely off target, but her brain was still fuzzy regardless. it was bad enough that her hangover had kept her abed all day. For her still recovering thoughts to then be swamped by Kaleb's too-skilled hands and lips, she was shocked that she was functional.
The small woman blinked slowly at where Amyrea was supposedly sitting. "So... can I have him? At least, until he comes in death to sweep you off your feet- so to say..." She gestured to the man underneath her, lips curling up slightly at her weak attempt at humor.

Re: Never Trust Appearances
Kaleb was chortling good-naturedly at Amyrea's sighing and swooning at Fyra - even though the poor lass couldn't hear her - only to choke as soon as Fyra asked if she could HAVE him. WHAT!? Wide eyes stared down at Fyra, baffled, shocked and confused. What does she mean, have me? Is she asking permission to keep me or something? What am I? Her pet!? Amyrea, however, considered the girl before grinning.
"Tell her I say sure - just be sure to feed and water you." Kaleb repeated the words without thinking, a hand now pulling his hair back before he looked at her, unable to comprehend what just happened. "What the hell was that about? Some sort of girl code?"

Re: Never Trust Appearances
With a satisfied smile as her answer came from Kaleb's lips, Fyra smiled lightly, murmuring. "Do my best." She then looked at the young man, chuckling at the expression on his face and the tone of his voice. The hand that had been tucked behind his neck, tangled among his hair, came up to caress his unshaven cheek, and run through his hair over his ear.
She shifted, stretching one leg out and moving so that she was sliding off of Kaleb, held in place between him and the couch. Dark eyes looked at him with humor as her hand withdrew and came to rest on his chest. "Don't worry your head over it, Kaleb.

Re: Never Trust Appearances
Worry my- Kaleb's eyes narrowed before he moved, grabbing her stretched thigh, pulling it up and around his waist. A quick twist and he was hovering over her, and in a fluid movement, his lips seared across her own, tongue battling hers even as his pelvis ground against hers. He pulled away abruptly, hissing in her ear: "Oh no worries love, I don't intend to." Satisfied, Kaleb moved upwards in a fluid motion and headed up the stairs, whistling a jaunty tune as he considered taking a bath... after he got rid of a certain... issue.
Re: Never Trust Appearances
She groaned, heat flaring through her body as he pressed her down into the couch. And then, just as suddenly as he had pushed her against the cushions, he was walking away, whistling. Fyra sighed lightly, looking back to where she believed Amyrea still to be, and grumbling. "Are they all so confusing?" She lay on the couch for a few minutes longer, heat running through her and a strange sense of...incompleteness nagging at her.
But she couldn't just lie there, doing nothing. Barefoot, she slid into the kitchen and began to search through what food was in the house, collecting ingredients for some sort of dinner that she hadnt' decided upon yet.

Re: Never Trust Appearances
Amyrea laughed at Fyra, watching her move to the kitchen to busy herself. "No, just out Kaleb." She told the woman, knowing she coudn't hear the ghost. Ah well... She pulled herself to the second floor, appearing just in time to catch a glimpse of Kaleb's fine ass as he slipped into the tub with a groan. She noticed he hadn't bothered to rid himself of his erection, and vaguely wondered why, not that she minded. She'd never admit to the things she'd done while that man was asleep and in this state...
"Fyra thinks you're being difficult." The ghost informed the medium, lying on her belly in mid-air. Forest green eyes, darkened from lust and slight lack of sleep, turned to the ghost. "I think she's being difficult, but that's obviously just me." Kaleb replied easily, sleepily. He returned to the task of scrubbing himself, dunking under the water to wet his hair as he did.
"You did pretty good, finding her. And keeping her around really." Amyrea admitted as Kaleb surfaced with a gasp. He looked at her again, startled this time. "Seriously? Usually all you do is bitch about the girls I bring home." "Because they're whores." Amyrea pointed out dryly, receiving a look that clearly showed Kaleb didn't think that mattered. "Oh my love," Kaleb winced, they were back to that again? "I'll admit I knew falling for you would be hard on my heart, but I couldn't help myself. Still, at least you picked a decent, proper girl this time." Kaleb sent her a withering look.
Sighing and ignoring the ghost now, Kaleb finished his bath, stepping out and drying himself off briskly before wrapping a dry towel around his waist easily. He scooped up his dirty clothes and proceeded down the stairs, knowing he'd have to do laundry if he wanted clean clothes now. Usually he'd just do this naked, but something told him Fyra would object.
"Love if you want anything cleaned, best get it to the back, I'm gonna do a bit of laundry." It'd take awhile, but hey, the process was relaxing and it'd give him a way to work out some extra energy in a more 'proper' manner.

Re: Never Trust Appearances
Fyra looked up and just as quickly, turned away, her cheeks blushing red even as she looked over him again and again in her mind. Leanly muscled, Kaleb just slipped past her calling for laundry, his wet hair tousled, and naught but a towel around him. Swiftly, she fled up stairs to grab the clothing that had been dumped in the river, and brought it down, following him out back and placing the bundle near him. She swallowed, trying to meet his gaze and failing, cheeks still red. "I'll scrounge something up for food." She turned to flee once more.

Re: Never Trust Appearances
It was amusing, really, to see how the girl reacted to him. Kaleb tilted his head and caught her wrist before she could flee entirely, pulling her back for a soft, easy kiss and releasing her. "You can always stick around and watch, I don't mind." Kaleb told her easily as he turned back to setting up the washtub and rack. He dropped the clothes in with the soap, bent over the washboard, and began to scrub, humming a tune he'd heard a lady sing while doing the very same thing.
Re: Never Trust Appearances
He kept doing that. Over and over, she just wanted to melt into him, every time his lips curved upward, but even more so when he did things like that, tugging her into a kiss that she couldn't decide whether she wanted or not. For a moment, she found herself standing, watching the muscles of his back ripple with the movements of washing the clothing, listening to the tune he hummed. But, with cherry-red cheeks, she found herself feeling as though she couldn't just sit and do nothing.
It didn't take her long to scrounge up a decent meal from the food that was still left. She took comfort in the domestic activity, something that she hadn't really done for a long time. While waiting for it to cook, she frowned, thinking. She didn't feel like she could just continue to live off of whatever Kaleb brought in from his takings by pickpocketing. She didn't feel that thieving was necessarily proper. But what am I now? He's right. It's not like proper really matters on the street. It's what you have to do to survive... Her lips pursed as she debated how she would be able to haul her own weight to help him out.

Re: Never Trust Appearances
The scrubbing didn't take as long as Kaleb had thought it would, so as he began to hang clothes up to dry, buckets set underneath to catch the water and windows opened slightly to allow the wind, he began to smell dinner. Surprised and delighted at the fact he didn't have to cook, Kaleb began to wander back to the kitchen, not bothering to tighten the towel that had loosened slightly over his waist.
As a result, as he leaned against the frame, watching her cook, his towel slid lower, now only just being held up by his... little thief... and only partially his hips.
"Smells good love, what'cha cookin'?" Kaleb sniffed loudly for emphasis, his arms crossed as a means of self-restraint. She looked so damn cute...

Re: Never Trust Appearances
Fyra was stirring the pot of thickening stew as Kaleb walked in. She turn to look at him, blushed, and looked back at her cooking. "I just sort of threw a bunch of stuff together. It's turned out pretty good so far, but I don't claim to be even a half-way decent cook." She tried to keep her eyes from straying over to the man. His lean musculature was attractive enough as it was, but when he stood there with only a towel, and that was barely staying on...
She swallowed, the heat in her cheeks making her all the more self conscious as she remembered how her last several days had went. In the space of them, she had become more intimate and familiar with the roguish Kaleb, than she had even with the young man who had wanted to marry her only a year ago. He probably would have if she had run to him instead of seeking solace in a dark niche. But Fyra shook her head a little, keeping her mind moving forward. She'd been trying to figure out how she could help Kaleb, to support her own weight, what little of it there was.

Re: Never Trust Appearances
He saw that adorable little blush. He watched her turn back, even heard her comment about being a half-decent cook. So Kaleb did what any self-respecting rogue would - silently padded up behind her, tying his towel a little tighter before he slid his arms around her waist and pressed his lips to her neck.
"Smell like it'll taste divine." He murmured against her neck. He breathed in her scent, gently, careful not to hamper her movements. Just because he was being an affectionately cling man didn't mean he had to cause dinner to get burnt.
