Re: Delicate

Richard sat in his study at his home, smoke curling lazily up toward the ceiling from his pipe, sipping from a glass of dark liquor.

The job of inspector paid well, and Richard had always been smart with his money. His house was a practicaly a mansion, large and well-decorated. The study, a room ...

Re: Delicate

Inspector Richard Malogne carefully rolled a cigarette, his long, stained fingers pinching the paper tight.

He was not a young man, his hair was graying and his face was deeply lined, and beneath his vest he had a bit of a paunch. He walked and breathed weariness, every movement he made seemed to ...

Delicate

(Hey everyone! If you don't remember me, my first story was Scoundrels. This is a sequel, but this post is sort of just a prologue. I might not be able to add on to this in a timely manner for a while, but I wanted to get this out there.)

Picture:

A dark alleyway, lit dimly by flickering ...

Re: Oh my god, y'all

I'm not really worried that he'd 'gut' the military-even though democrats have already begun calling for a 25% reduction of our defense budget. There are a whole fuckton of reasons why that's retarded, even though our defense budget is pretty big at the moment (Military still isn't paid as much as ...

Re: Have you ever...

I dunno, I never really wrote anything that I didn't think was forgiveable for someone my age. I mean, if you've never written before, I think fanfics are a good way to start OH MY GOD, THIS GEARS OF WAR COMMERCIAL IS SO BEAUTIFUL I WANT IT SO BAD because they offer a way to write with familiar ...

Re: Halloween Pics

All I did for halloween was get dangerously drunk. I didn't get any pictures but I did have a costume. I call it "Man lying face down in a pool of his own vomit and other people's blood."

Nah, I didn't get that drunk. I assume, anyway. As far as I can remember, nothing catastrophic happened.

Re: Regular Reading

I was going to make a constructive post here until I noticed people saying they liked Salvatore, so now I'm boycotting productive discussion in this thread to demonstrate my contempt for that hack.

Seriously guys...Salvatore?

Re: Scoundrels

It had been a few days since the Captain had spoken to Lymirel.

Nick had not been found, and Lymirel had no doubt in her mind that Nick had escaped. That he now stalked another part of Eyropa, and that soon the blood of yet more victims would soon stain his hands.

She still lay in the hospital ...

Re: Scoundrels

As Lymirel related her story to the Captain, breaking down in tears at one point, he inwardly cursed.

The Lady de la Sauterelle had not been guilty after all. And now, knowing that the true murderer was still on the loose, he could only wonder how long it would be before the word got out on the ...

Re: Scoundrels

Lymirel was remembering the first time she had seen Nick.

His parents dead, and with no one in the town financially secure enough to adopt another as their own, he was passed from family to family, whoever was willing to take care of him for a week, a month, however long he needed to survive. The ...

Re: Authors that Inspire

Ironically, for someone that writes quite a bit of fantasy, I don't really have any fantasy authors that have inspired me. HP Lovecraft is a big one, but that's more cosmic horror than fantasy. Stephen King is a bit more fantasy-ish, sometimes. But still. Um, what else...Silent Hill, despite being a ...

Re: Scoundrels

The lady Helena stood upon a scaffolds, rope tight around her neck, cutting into her burnt and blistered flesh. One good eye glared out, somehow expressing remarkable disdain despite her ruined and featureless face.

A pair of grim and silent guards stared up at her, faces flickering in the light ...

Re: Scoundrels

James was walking home in the orange sunset, having finished his patrol as city guard little less than an hour ago. He left his armor at the barracks, but still carried his mace with him. Some guards preferred to leave their weaponry at the barracks as well, but James didn't live in the safest of ...
