Today at 9:51 AM a London underground train was bombed, apparently it was a suicidal bomber. In between this bomb time and 09:47AM a number of 4 bombings occurred. 37 people have been confirmed dead, over 700 more are injured, some of which are critical.

God, my heart fell into my stomach when I read about that this morning. I don't know what to say, but I will say to our members in England (Hak, you're the only one I know for sure is in England) that you have all our best wishes coming to you and our deepest condolences.
Leaving any politics and speculation for the future, right now is the time to feel for the people of England in wake of a terrible tragedy.

try
http://www.bbc.co.uk and on the main page their is probably several links containing info, the death numbers are almost certainly going to raise than that number also. It was believed to be AL-qaeda because the government found some site which anonymous posters posted about Allah and all aspects to do with the religion, but one post had something in it about Britain now being in terror as they have carried out an attack etc.
Just reading more about the deaths: At least 50, many more to be discovered in the underground tracks.
Although it seems to me that the number rose considerably, but oh well.

What happened is terrible and disgusting, but I do respect the londoners' stiff upper lip approach to it all. These things happen all over the world, and it'll happen again.

I was too lazy to want to find it. Not something I've too interested in reading anyway. That really sucks though.

Wow! And to think I was just in London in April. I went on the subway and everything. It's quite an eye awakener! My parents had been so afraid that that would happen while I was there but fortunately I was not. *sighs* London, or Britain for that matter, is one of my most favorite places in the world.

*Nods* I totally agree. And it really pisses me off that someone would do that. We were thinking it had something to do with the Olympics since it was announced the day before that London would be hosting the games (congrats btw).
I'm glad you are alright Hak, though I'm not sure where abouts Britain you live. Everyone over there has the deepest support from me, that's for sure.

I was alright, mainly cos I'm not counted as London, I'm about an hours drive away, so unlikely i would get caught up in it unless i was visiting London.
But i doubt it was anything to do with whether London won the Olympic hosting, i think it is mainly due to the G8, where the world leaders are gathering, but they didn't bomb where they were (which was in Scotland) so obviously they dint it just to say that they could of easily hurt the world leaders, to strike fear and terror (thus TERRORists).
Also i am pretty sure that the attack was planned a very long time ago, maybe even years back, and they chose 7/7, a memorable date, as was 7/11, they stick to your mind as soon as you hear them.
