As some of you may have guessed, I do, in fact, write (gosh!). So, I am working on some fiction that may go into the Creative Corner. This is completely unrelated to Thar Shaddin, and is in fact set in Forgotten Realms (a D&D setting).
Proof reading and compulsive editing aside, there is still need to fine tune. Currently I am 6 Chapters through the book, besides, here people can comment which will help me with the editing.
My point? Well, mostly to gather if there is interest. If people wish I can share background information. Still, this is an absolute deluge of writing, and will be an ongoing task which I would like input on, so it made sense to ask opinions first.

I believe we have a couple of published authors on the site, so it's not a silly idea at all to ask. Also, I think it's fair to say that most of us are pretty damn anal about writing, so if you want an honest critique, I think we could provide it.

There's no harm in putting it up. If you don't have web storage I can put the text file on thar shaddin's server. I wouldn't want you copy pasting that many pages into forums.

Wow, you can keep up with our thread and work on a novel? *Is impressed*
Judging by the level of the writing you do here, I'm sure it's quite good, and I'd be happy to look it over as time permits.

1 - thanks all.
2 - I don't have web storage, so let me know what I need to do.
3 - As it happens, most of this work was from earlier, pre-musical illusions. Then I reached a lull where nothing seemed to follow on neatly. Anyway, now I have found a useful direction to throw things in.
What I was thinking was to make each chapter a seperate thread, much like Falcon and the Tattler.
So, the blurb... which I have just made up on the spot.
Peaceful times are always welcome, if they are really peaceful times. True, bandits have disappeared, without need for armed conflict and without more loss of life, leaving an unfamiliar quiet in their wake. Of course, not everyone trusts the silence, least of all those charged with protecting the common folk.
Drafted into the course of these investigations is serf and labourer Firandar of Stalten. An act of compassion draws him into events. An act of courage keeps him there. An act of honesty makes him enemies. Now he has more acts to make so that good folk may live.

Hm, I think I know this piece of work and have been looking forward to reading it, as I am also working on a Forgotten Realms novel (one of many projects) and love that Universe.
If you do not do the text file thing, could I make a suggestion? Have a separate thread for C&C so the topic with the chapters in is easier to read and not interrupted with our opinions. Feel free to ignore me, btw.

I would not recommend posting it if you intend to publish, (assuming you have some deal worked out with the Publishers of Forgotten Realms), because most publishers consider anything that has been posted online to have been already published for free, and will not publish it even if they like the story. (This does not include posting little snippets or blurbs about the plot, those are fine, it is when you post the whole thing or large sections (like whole chapters) that you start to run into trouble.) If however you do post, I will be happy to offer advice.
Also
Fantsy Writers is a great site for feedback on writing, although it is geared towards professionals and those who want to break into professional writing.[/url]

Now actually going to do this, but having trouble on the email front, mostly because the email link on your profile does not allow me to use my hotmail account. Something to do with your connection.
So if you can PM me or contact me by email so that I have your email address, I will send off the first document.

I think i'm one of the few people in north america who still uses it...
try
supreme_chaos@hotmail.com which is also my MSN obviously. That one should work for attachments.

I've uploaded the file here:

You may have to right click > save link as... to get the file to download. I haven't read over it yet though Rail.
